[22] Well, there's a lot going on here and things on the ground are changing fast.

[23] As Georgia mentioned, early Thursday, Putin launched what he called a specialized military operation in Ukraine's Dombas region, an area occupied by Russian -backed rebels since the last Russian invasion in 2014.

[24] Putin pledged to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, billing this as a defensive move aimed at preventing supposed acts of genocide in Ukraine.

[25] These are claims he's made before and always without any evidence.
