[2] Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
[3] Walls is a proponent of progressive policies in Minnesota, passing laws that allow abortion up until birth and transgender medical procedures for minors.
[4] The 60 -year -old Walls is serving his second term as governor.
[5] He's known as a progressive who has restricted gun access and legalized recreational marijuana use.
[6] GOP vice presidential nominee J .D. Vance reacted to Harris's choice for VP.
[7] It just highlights how radical Kamala Harris is.
[8] This is a person who listened to the Hamas wing of her own party and selecting a nominee.
[9] This is a guy who's proposed shipping more manufacturing jobs to China and has proposed defunding the police just as Kamala Harris does.
[10] They make an interesting tag team because, of course, Tim Walts allowed rioters to burn.
[11] down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020, and then the few who got caught, Kamala Harris helped bail them out of jail.
[12] A second assassination attempt on former President Trump was foiled by law enforcement.

[14] The Justice Department has charged Pakistani National Asif Merchant with plotting to assassinate Donald Trump and other U .S. officials.
[15] Merchant allegedly traveled to New York City in late August or early September to coordinate with the hitman.
[16] He was arrested on July 12th while preparing to leave the U .S. after meeting with undercover law enforcement posing his hitman, who he had paid $5 ,000 in advance payments.
[17] The intelligence has led to increased protection for Trump due to Iranian threats.
[18] Law enforcement says there's no evidence linking merchant to the recent assassination attempt on Trump.
[19] A UN investigation has found that nine employees of UNRWA, the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Relief, may have been involved in the October 7th attack that killed 1 ,200 people in Israel.
[20] These employees have since been removed from their positions.
[21] The investigation initiated in January following Israeli accusations reviewed a total of 19 staff members.
[22] Evidence suggests nine were involved, while cases against others were deemed insufficient for termination.
[23] The IDF has criticized UNRWA, accusing it of failing to address the seriousness of the allegations and questioning the agency's credibility.
[24] Markets rebounded somewhat on Tuesday after Monday's brutal stock market losses.
[25] Nasdaq, the S &P, and the Dow all gained about 2 % by the afternoon.
[26] AI stock, NVIDIA, and other tech stocks gained back some, but not all of their Monday losses.
[27] Bangladesh has named a new leader.
[28] Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus has been appointed to lead an interim government in Bangladesh after longtime leader Sheik Hasina fled among protests.

[32] The violence was spearheaded by students against discrimination over government job quotas, high youth unemployment, and a stagnant economy.
[33] The U .S. Supreme Court rejected Missouri's bid to halt Donald Trump's upcoming sentencing on felony charges involving hush money paid to Stormy Daniels.
[34] Conservative justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito indicated that they would have taken up Missouri's case but would not grant other relief.
[35] Trump denies the charges and plans to appeal his conviction after his sentencing in September.
[36] Florida International University has secured a naming rights deal with recording artist Pitbull for its football venue, which will now be called Pitbull Stadium.
[37] Mr. Worldwide will pay $1 .2 million annually for the next five years and has an option to extend the agreement.
[38] As part of the deal, the newly named official entrepreneur of FIU Athletics, will create an anthem for the school, promote the university on social media, and appear at fundraising events.
[39] And Kansas City Chiefs, kicker, Harrison Butker, is now the highest paid player for his position in the NFL.

[41] The Kansas City Chiefs have secured Super Bowl winning kicker Harrison Butker for four more years with a $25 .6 million contract extension.
[42] The deal makes Butker the highest paid kicker in the NFL.
[43] The new contract comes after Butker was thrown into controversy over a commencement address he delivered at Benedictine College during the offseason.
[44] During his speech, Butker urged graduates at the Catholic College to be unapologetic about conservative views on marriage, homosexuality, and abortion.
