[22] And so when you pull it out of this tube that looks like a flashlight, you see what looks like, you know, the actual device is like, it looks like a jellyfish sort of a thing.
[23] Wow.
[24] What is that retail for, man?
[25] I think it's like 60 bucks or something like that.
[26] But if you order through my website, you get 15 % off.

[33] You just got to, just get a beat off.
[34] Like, you don't want to have sex.
[35] You don't have the time to get intimate.
[36] You just, look, I don't need to get rid of some loads here.
[37] That's right.
[38] Bam.
[39] I could understand that, you know, when you're 18 in the shower in the morning.
[40] Like, brush your teeth, jack off.
[41] You don't understand that as a grown old?
[42] But I don't understand that as a four -year -old.
[43] It just, I think my HGH levels crashed.
[44] Oh, you got to start doing squat, son.
[45] Got to get on them deadlift, son.
[46] Handel bells, man. Rick Schroeder just started doing jujitsu.
[47] He is taking it now And you've been taking it for like three days I've had four classes Four days With Eddie With your teacher Eddie Bravo Yeah he's uh Rick Schroeder's learning has strangled bitches Have you had that ringworm yet?
[48] How about that?
[49] I heard about this Yeah listen I got some soap for you I'm going to give it to you before we leave I wanted to have it out for the podcast but I forgot It's called defense soap And you go to defense soap .com I have no affiliation with them The guy who owns it guy Sacco I was just this really cool guy who made this great product.
[50] And it's all about keeping your skin healthy when you do jiu -jitsu.
[51] Because when you do jiu -jitsu, you're getting scratched and you're rolling around.
[52] There's a lot of abrasions all over your body.
[53] And if you don't wash with, like, a good, healthy soap, you can have, like, you can get infections.
[54] You can get, like, ringworm.
[55] And people don't tell you about it.
[56] It's fucking really annoying.
[57] You have to find out, like, from other people that do jiu -jitsu.
[58] Like, my friend Ari had a staff infection on his knee, and his knee had swollen up.
[59] we were playing pool and he's walking around the pool table with this weird limp so I go what's going on man and he goes I got a spider bite and I go oh shit let me see it so he pulls his pants up I go dude that's a staff infection he thought it was a spider bite because it was this big pus -filled red mark it looked like he had gotten poison with something you look like there was like you know venom in there or something so if I hadn't noticed that it probably could have got systemic and he would have been in the hospital with IV and you know intravenous you know antibiotics it's really really dangerous stuff what's the ring worm thing?
[60] It's not a real worm, right?
[61] It's a fungus.
[62] No, it's called, no, it's the same thing as athlete's foot.
[63] It's really the same exact fungus.
[64] It's just different parts of your body.
[65] And what ringworm is, it's like it grows and it looks like a ring.
[66] You know, when it starts to infect you, like a big circle on your body.
[67] And that's how you...
[68] Crop circle of skin.
[69] Yeah, it's usually in circles.
[70] Yeah, there's some naughty dudes at the gym that you really don't, I mean, you don't want to...
[71] Sweaty guys on top of you.
[72] It was weird to get...
[73] It was weird at first.
[74] It's weird as fuck, man. I do whatever.
[75] But I do it, I think of it, you know, you don't even think of it really as a dude.
[76] You think of it as like a problem.
[77] You think of it as like, here's this, you know, there's this thing that's moving around that I have to dissect.
[78] You know, I have to dissect this guy.
[79] I have to, I have to figure out how to lock him down, I have to hold him in place, figure out how to take his arm.
[80] What happened there?
[81] Major volume.
[82] Boom.
[83] What did you do that, Brian?
[84] Huh?
[85] Now my volume's gone.
[86] Your volume's gone?
[87] Yeah, you just fucked with something.
[88] There you go.
[89] That's better.
[90] Oh, it's sensitive.
[91] Wow, mine's way loud That's better I'm gonna back off the mic Back off the mic, son So yeah, I'm loving the jujitsu Yeah, so Rick Schroeder's out there Strangling bitches You got tapped by your own son though That's sad Really?
[92] I could have, come on You could have got him?
[93] I could have got him all right Should he got him then?
[94] Next time I will Let me tell you something You have kids You can't let him tap you My other son though My 18 -year -old son, Holden?
[95] He actually did get me Well, Holden seems like He's a big, strong, strapping fella And he's just starting to come into that so he's like really into it you know when i talked to him about jiu jitsu i was like dude you would love it he would love it and he needs that gym in salt lake yeah he'll jeremy horn has a gym in salt lake he's going there for college right yeah he just went there last week so he needs to go well we'll get him we'll get him set up with jeremy because jeremy's got a a killer gym and jeremy's like a really good coach he's like one of the best guys you could ever learn from because jeremy has always been like not not like a physically talented guy he's not like a natural athlete not like super strong or explosive just really smart and really technical you know that's what he's always been like he's always been real clever on the ground sort of just a great guy to learn from those are the best guys to learn from the guys are really strong sometimes they're getting away with like a lot of it is just through athleticism and they're not quite as technical as the guys who are like naturally not that strong those are the best guys to learn from and jeremy horn is one of the nicest guys of the world cool so he'll love it he's going to be a killer he's going to come back he's going to oh he's a beach already he's going to get you he's already a beast still what did he tap you with it um it was an arm it was an arm bar you got me an arm got me an arm bar and and luke got me on a re -making joke did you think about not tapping um yeah but i i know my son and i could feel the emotion like the boys and their dads have this thing like especially when boys turns like 18 19 20 they have to go through this thing where they like have to push their dads away like for some reason it's part of the natural transition into manhood Yeah, it is, right?
[96] Yeah, and he was going, he's going through there right now because he's 18.
[97] And I could tell he wanted to hurt me. So I knew I needed to, I know I needed to just.
[98] That's so crazy.
[99] Yeah, and I said, I tapped and he goes, you can't tap.
[100] Wow.
[101] I said, no, I said, hold on, I tapped.
[102] He's like, oh, he just wanted to just.
[103] Wow, he didn't want you to tap.
[104] He didn't want me to tap.
[105] That's ridiculous.
[106] Why would he not want you to tap?
[107] If he got you, he wants to break your arm?
[108] Well, I don't think he wanted to break my arm, but that's what happens when you don't get to tap.
[109] He didn't want to give me a little more pain.
[110] before I tapped out.
[111] Wow, that's fucking weird, man. I don't know how I'd handle that.
[112] I'd have to beat the fuck out of him.
[113] I think I might have to beat the fuck out of him.
[114] You're lucky of girls.
[115] I'm lucky.
[116] I don't know how I deal with that.
[117] I might have to choke that, dude.
[118] I might have to be like, we're going to figure some shit out here.
[119] You know?
[120] Damn.
[121] You don't want to have to go through that.
[122] Some fucking young buck running around your house who's chest puffed out.
[123] I'm not listening to you?
[124] Well, you know what?
[125] You've got to put the hooks in, son.
[126] I have got to let them listen another way.
[127] Got to get through them.
[128] Just squeeze them out.
[129] You've got to be able to consistently squeeze them out.
[130] That's what's most important.
[131] You can't just squeeze them out every third time.
[132] You've got to be able to squeeze them out every time you guys grapple.
[133] My goal is, I'm going to get all of them and choke the fuck out of him.
[134] I'm going to get Eddie's Mondays and Wednesdays for the next six months.
[135] Yeah.
[136] And I'm going to learn some serious technique.
[137] You can.
[138] And he and I are going to, we're going to go out of it again eventually.
[139] Well, this is what you need to do.
[140] All you need to do is be consistent.
[141] Be consistent.
[142] That's the most important thing.
[143] Be consistent and spar a lot and get on some sort of a strength program.
[144] Yeah.
[145] Get on like...
[146] Lifting.
[147] Kettlebells are the best because they're really lightweight.
[148] You can do it with like a 30 -pound kettle belt, 35 -pound kettlebell.
[149] You get a tremendous workout.
[150] I have one workout that I do.
[151] It's just one 35 -pound kettlebell.
[152] You call it a farmer strength the way you live.
[153] You get, you're using your, you use your whole body and it just forces you to use everything like athletically, as opposed to like just bench pressing.
[154] Just isolating your trice.
[155] Yeah, that stuff doesn't really enhance your body.
[156] ability to move things.
[157] It's like when you have like something that you have to control and you have to balance it, then you develop like a different kind of a strength, the strength that has like stability and balance and a strength that adjust.
[158] And multiple muscle groups using it.
[159] And muscles adjust when things are going wrong and when you're getting tired.
[160] You know, and that's what's really important.
[161] You do that.
[162] You choke the fuck out of that kid.
[163] Just what I'm talking about.
[164] Get that little motherfucker.
[165] Shut up.
[166] You got to be able to get him all the time.
[167] It's very important, man. You have to let him know that every time you, roll, you're going to choke the fuck out of him.
[168] That's just a foregone conclusion.
[169] There's certain dudes that you can, you just own.
[170] Like when I first started doing jiu -jitsu, there was this kid who was this purple belt, who was really good.
[171] And this dude owned me. Every time we rolled, he owned me. It was a foregone conclusion that I was going to tap.
[172] I sucked.
[173] I was a white belt.
[174] I didn't know what I was doing.
[175] And he was a really good purple belt.
[176] He was strong as fuck.
[177] And he used to like to run through me. That's what you like to do.
[178] Just fucking squash me as quick as he could.
[179] And it was like, God, damn.
[180] but there was a but you kept out of order yeah well he you know he left and i went to another school the school that we were at closed now but the important thing was i knew every time i roll with that guy unless i get way way way better i had to get way better than i was that guy was gonna fuck me up so there's like i didn't want to roll with him because he owned me right you know what i'm saying you gotta own your kid own that little motherfucker just what you gotta do get his neck just shut the fuck up that's what you gotta do a lot of it's siking out too you might want to like shave a mohawk and stuff and start like spitting on him and stuff when you see him spider web tattooed out son get yourself on the mike tyson face tattoos hold your gun sideways they just know you ain't playing rick schrody's in town motherfucker that's awesome what they say godman didn't make man equal smith and wesson did well you know you're that's my fallback rick is um one of the very unusual hollywood guy you're not um you know everybody wants to say that like he's not a hollywood guy but you're not a hollywood guy you're a dude who had a ranch out in colorado I know you love to hunt Like you love a lot of like Manly shit Jiu -jitsu is right up your rally Totally man I mean I speargun hunt Yeah you do crazy He got back from Africa And showed him all this fucking shit he killed Went on a great safari with my son Fly airplanes He's taking me We're gonna go pig hunting We just have to figure out Well it's more than pigs actually We're gonna do some We're gonna do a buffalo I'm not doing anything I can't eat Bison you can eat bison burgers Bison you can But I'm just saying You guys kill shit you can can't eat.
[181] He's going to eat everything that he kills.
[182] The only shit that I can't, that I would kill that I couldn't eat is like shit that I think like coyotes that kill cats and shit.
[183] I could kill a coyote.
[184] You know, like I've had cats.
[185] Fuck coyotes.
[186] Yeah.
[187] I've had I've, you know, my dog got killed by mountainline in Colorado.
[188] When are we going hunting?
[189] When do you have time?
[190] We're going to figure it out right after my book.
[191] I'm supposed to be done with my book by October 15th.
[192] Because November would be a good time.
[193] Yeah.
[194] It'll be cooler.
[195] And we can hunt deer, right?
[196] We can hunt deer, pig.
[197] Dude, I like the way deer taste.
[198] I want to do it because I've been a meat eater my entire life and I've taken no responsibility for my desire to consume meat.
[199] You know, I have not felt any remorse, you know, from pulling a trigger and seeing an animal die.
[200] I haven't made a connection, a real connection between what you're doing when you're eating meat.
[201] And I think as a person who thinks, I think that's actually probably important to try out.
[202] Well, you know what?
[203] Hunting Gathering was our past.
[204] Yeah.
[205] You know, with some men especially, hunting gathering.
[206] And like, the further we get away from that, that vibe of hunting and gathering and providing and testing ourselves like that, I think the more out of touch we're becoming with who we are.
[207] Do you know why I think that is?
[208] I think the world and technology have evolved faster than people, and I think there's a certain reward systems that are set up in the human mind to ensure that we're going to continue to do certain things, like that we're going to continue to want to fuck, that we're going to continue to want to hunt.
[209] Like you get like a response from hunting.
[210] I know I do from fishing.
[211] I've never been hunting, but I've been fishing.
[212] and there's some primal thing about pulling a big fish out of the water like yeah yeah that's fucking going to know knowing that you're going to eat this thing like you just went out into the wild another world okay floating around on a fucking ocean and you pulled something out of that world and now you're going to eat it's going to give you life yeah there's a little there's energy that's attached to that like you feel good about it well you know if the truth is if hunting gathering societies had succeeded they were they haven't succeeded because they were replaced by mass farm production societies Surplus.
[213] Surplus changed everything.
[214] What changed everything was the ability to stay in one place.
[215] People have like this sort of a nomadic genetic connection.
[216] There's a guy who lives in Alaska and they chronicled him on, you ever see VBS
