[0] I'm Daily Wire Editor -in -Chief John Bickley.

[1] It's Thursday, June 22nd, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.

[2] The U .S. Coast Guard announced in a statement on Thursday that a debris field has been discovered near the Titanic in the search for the missing Titan submersible.

[3] It is believed that the debris is, in fact, the missing sub that carried five individuals, and according to Ocean Gate, all five are now believed dead.

[4] The discovery was made by a remote -controlled vehicle deployed by the vessel Horizon Arctic.

[5] The ROV subsequently found additional debris.

[6] In consultation with experts from within the Unified Command, the debris is consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber.

[7] Republican lawmakers held a press conference today detailing more of the allegations and evidence presented by IRS whistleblowers, alleging federal interference in the agency's investigation of Hunter Biden.

[8] In transcripts of the whistleblower's interviews with investigators, they claim the Biden DOJ is intervening and overstepping when it comes to the investigation of the president's son, and they say they fear they could face immediate retaliation for speaking out.

[9] An alleged chain of text messages between Hunter Biden and Chinese officials were also uncovered.

[10] In the conversation Hunter demands payment, noting that he is actually with his father at the time of the exchange.

[11] This was a campaign of delay, divulge, and deny.

[12] Whistleblowers say reoccurring unjustified delays pervaded the investigation.

[13] Texas continued to be battered by extreme weather, leading to a loss of both power and life in some areas.

[14] Daily Wire reporter Zach Jewell has more.

[15] The lone Star State heat wave continues, and as Texan search for reprieve, energy usage is skyrocketing, leading to a strain on the energy grid.

[16] However, in the Houston area, more than 150 ,000 citizens lost power overnight, not due to excessive consumption, but because of torrential downpour and extreme thunderstorms in the area, knocking over power lines.

[17] Meanwhile, at least four Texans lost their lives after a tornado swept through Madador, a town in the northern part of the state.

[18] It looks like we might have a battle of Silicon Valley billionaires on our hands soon, and we're not talking about on social media.

[19] Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently accepted a challenge from Chief Twit Elon Musk to duke it out in a cage match.

[20] Daily Wire of senior editor and resident MMA fighter Cabot Phillips has the details.

[21] Thanks, John.

[22] So it all began when Musk tweeted on June 20th that he's up for a, quote, cage match in response to a joke referencing Zuckerberg's recent MMA training.

[23] On Wednesday, Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of Musk's tweet on Instagram, captioning it, quote, send me location.

[24] It reportedly confirmed that he is not joking.

[25] UFC boss Dana White said that he's been in contact with the two men about scheduling a fight and that they're both, quote, absolutely deadly serious.

[26] The money from that potential fight would reportedly go to charity.

[27] The ad agency behind the Bud Light debacle that paired the brand with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, a man who identifies as a woman, won the ad industry's equivalent of an Oscar.

[28] But after the brand sales tanked by nearly 25 % after the Mulvaney campaign, some experts are now calling on the company to give the award back to the Cannes Lion Festival.

[29] Here with Morris Daily Wire writer Tim Meets.

[30] Budlight parent company Anheuser -Busch InBev's top executive, Marcel Marcondiz, was honored with the most prestigious award in all of advertising at the annual Can Lions Festival.

[31] In a press release in March, the festival said the award recognized AB InBev's sustained creative excellence that has driven sustainable business growth and its reputation as a marketing innovator.

[32] But that was prior to its brand -damaging decision to partner with Mulvaney in April.

[33] Now, Marcondiz says the entire experience has been a lesson on being humble and should be a wake -up call for other marketers.

[34] All right, those are your drive -home updates this afternoon.
