The Cincinnati Reds have a number of reasons that they will be better this year than they were last year. Before we get into why, we look at why we are getting ahead of ourselves with Joey Votto as Mo Egger joins Jeff at Fretboard Brewery in Blue Ash, Ohio. We must figure this one thing out about Joey before we worry about if he will continue playing for the Reds or be traded to another team, or when he will retire. The health of Jonathan India and Tyler Stephenson will go a long way toward the Reds being better this year. India realizes his strength is as the lead-off man for this team and the Reds plan to protect Stephenson is sound. Also, two new outfielders for the Reds will bring big dividends in different ways. Will Benson and Wil Myers are just two more reasons to be optimistic about the 2023 Cincinnati Reds.
