Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard XX
[0] Welcome, welcome, welcome to armchair expert.
[1] I'm Dax Shepard.
[2] I'm joined by Monica Padman.
[3] Hello.
[4] This edition of Experts on Expert is a particularly fun one for me. A live show.
[5] It was a live show, but with a friend, an actual friend from college, Jason Delion and I were in an archaeology class together at UCLA some 20 years ago.
[6] We had other classes together.
[7] But, yeah, he and I were best buddies in college.
[8] And he has now grown up to be a very impressive anthropologist.
[9] He researches theories of violence, materiality, Latin American migration, photoethnography, forensic science, and archaeology of the contemporary.
[10] He directs the undocumented migration project, a long -term study of clandestine border crossings that uses a combination of ethnographic archaeological, visual and forensic approaches to understand this phenomena in a variety of geographic contexts.
[11] He also won the MacArthur Fellowship, which is very esteemed, Monica, incredibly exclusive.
[12] He also has a book right now called The Land of Open Graves.
[13] We appropriately recorded this live at UCLA in front of a bunch of students, and it was quite a blast.
[14] Little reminder, tomorrow, tickets go on sale for the HistoryCon Armchair Expert Live from Los Angeles at the Pasadena Convention Center.
[15] Tickets go on sale at 10 a .m. L .A. time tomorrow.
