The Usual Bet XX
[0] i don't know where all my time went i don't know how to define it so tell me how do i fight it when it feels so wrong it's on the tip of my tongue it's every line in this song the little things have been with me all along sophie i have a question okay Always great to start with a question.
[1] Okay.
[2] Are you familiar with the concept of canon until proven otherwise?
[3] Yeah, I sure am.
[4] Yeah.
[5] Okay, cool.
[6] So for people who aren't, this is a concept where authors often will expressly state that a concept can be...
[7] canon until proven otherwise usually this this can be for like people's ships or something like that or or fan concept or fan theories and all that stuff or Hey, this is how Star Wars works, right?
[8] Or it's how it used to work.
[9] Yeah, it's how the Star Wars canons used to work.
[10] There were tiers of things.
[11] It's like this.
[12] Anything you say is canon, basically.
[13] You want to write a book about it?
[14] It's canon.
[15] Until entire source material has proven you otherwise.
[16] Yes, exactly.
[17] Which I think is really cool and really fun.
[18] And really gets into what does canon even mean?
[19] I don't want to get into that.
[20] So.
[21] I've been thinking lately.
[22] I've been ruminating.
[23] I've been toiling away in the minds of Chloe's mind.
[24] Okay, and I've been thinking.
[25] Authors hate writing about bathrooms.
[26] Oh, Chloe.
[27] Authors despise.
[28] Writing about a bathroom.
[29] They don't want to bring up a character going in and sitting on a toilet and taking a pee and all the things that means.
[30] They just glaze over it and skip it.
[31] Sometimes bathrooms are never mentioned in a story or a movie especially.
[32] You never see a bathroom.
[33] Not always, but sometimes.
[34] To which I posit, why does everyone just assume the characters in that media is potty trained?
[35] Why do they assume that they know how to use a bathroom?
[36] Why do they assume a bathroom even exists?
[37] No, listen.
[38] I understand that the reason why people don't write this is because...
[39] Icky.
[40] It's not something...
[41] Unless you're writing, like, a period piece about, like, a certain time or whatever.
[42] Oh, yeah, totally.
[43] There's no functional aspect to this.
[44] Yeah.
[45] It doesn't move the story forward.
[46] It doesn't aid in anything.
[47] It's a waste of words.
[48] You can sit there and watch entire anime.
[49] Mm -hmm.
[50] You can sit there and watch entire television shows.
[51] You can watch movies.
[52] And they will not mention the bathroom, even though the characters have to go to the bathroom constantly.
[53] And there's some aspects of, like, you don't address things when you can't do so in a good way or a realistic way.
[54] So for, like, a modern sitcom, I understand why you would not...
[55] talk about bathroom stuff because that's not gonna be funny yeah it's not funny it's not gonna entertain people but if you talk about like some sort of fantasy thing now you're getting into the concept of do you have do you have plumbing yeah is that is that a thing that is is a thing do you vanish me poop them harry potter style this is a really like you know in harry potter they have bathrooms they've talked about bathrooms but people don't go use the bathroom it's just for a ghost to to haunt yes or a big all bathrooms are just for ghosts to haunt you know um oh or to polyjuice in or to brew a cauldron and no one actually no one goes in the bathroom exactly because they all vanish me poop them that's been that's been clarified for us but Just like Vanish Me Poopin' is canon until proven otherwise, why not diapers?
[56] No, no, Chloe.
[57] Chloe.
[58] Yes.
[59] Yes.
[60] Of course diapers are canon until proven otherwise.
[61] Because you're right that the writers don't want to talk about it.
[62] That's their choice.
[63] I just assume.
[64] that the characters are all okay you're already you're already 10 steps ahead of me i am 10 steps ahead of you okay we played d and d yes and when chloe was gming her campaign yes um the rest of the table me and her mommy and mark and pudding um all collectively agreed because no one would talk about going to the bathroom and chloe sure wasn't gonna make anyone go to the bathroom We all collectively agreed that everyone in this world space wears diapers.
[65] They don't!
[66] And Chloe despised it.
[67] She was so upset about this fact.
[68] But not upset enough to write a diaper scene into my fantasy story.
[69] My D &D campaign.
[70] The same way Chloe doesn't mix her pet play and her baby stuff.
[71] She doesn't want baby stuff in her D &D.
[72] I don't.
[73] I don't have any interest in doing it.
[74] I...
[75] i don't want them to mix they're different things but they do because you have not nope can it until proven otherwise you have not proven otherwise that's that's yeah no you know i i am a victim to my own new new idea here and now i am in charge of this campaign yeah and i am just as the gm going of course you're all but you haven't you haven't made it canon it's so funny For D &D Now, the position I'm in is people go to the bathroom until proven otherwise.
[76] Bathrooms are canon until proven otherwise for me. Nope.
[77] Nope.
[78] Nope.
[79] Nope.
[80] Sorry.
[81] You don't get to decide if I didn't get to decide.
[82] Sorry.
[83] Sorry.
[84] Your character's in diapers.
[85] She's not.
[86] Yeah, she is.
[87] I know your character well enough to know she's probably in diapers anyway.
[88] Anyway.
[89] Anyway.
[90] My point is, with all this, I don't want to get into that.
[91] I want to get into giving our listeners the freedom that you already experienced.
[92] To assume characters are canon in diapers until proven otherwise.
[93] Yeah.
[94] If you're watching, like, a TV show and you've never seen them in a bathroom.
[95] Oh, listen, Chloe.
[96] Listen.
[97] I was watching Carol and Tuesday the other day.
[98] Yeah.
[99] And there's a scene where Angela's aide is like walking into frame and she's holding in her hand this like stack of folded like towels or something.
[100] Quote unquote.
[101] And it's like there's like a pink one and a purple one.
[102] And I'm like, well, those are diapers.
[103] I'm like, what else could they possibly be?
[104] Have you ever seen a bathroom in that anime?
[105] I have not seen a bathroom yet.
[106] Those were diapers.
[107] I've not seen a bathroom.
[108] I've not seen a character need to go to the bathroom.
[109] Have you seen someone shower?
[110] I don't know.
[111] Why would they be towels if there's no showers?
[112] Oh, Chloe, you're so right.
[113] They're anime characters.
[114] What, they don't get dirty?
[115] Exactly.
[116] Right.
[117] So they have to be diapers.
[118] Exactly.
[119] But then I'm like, okay, and obviously the aide would be getting the diapers to change the singer, and that's perfectly in line.
[120] It's all right there.
[121] People ask me all the time, who do you headcanon as being like a diaper girl as being a baby girl in TV shows?
[122] And I'm like, you're missing the point.
[123] It's not headcanoning a person.
[124] It's I'm assuming every single person is already in diapers.
[125] That you're not talking about using the bathroom.
[126] So I'm going to make the assumptions that they're all in diapers anyway.
[127] Hey, you know, and the thing is.
[128] That makes perfect sense.
[129] It's your cultural worldview.
[130] It's your perspective of the world.
[131] And it's like, oh, well, what about like the caregivers?
[132] Yeah, the caregivers, they're all in diapers.
[133] And there's people who change the diapers and those are the big, big ones.
[134] And then you got the ones who don't change their own diapers and they're the baby ones, but they're all in diapers.
[135] Hey, it's very similar to how...
[136] We as a household, we're a very gay household.
[137] We see two girls characters staring at each other for more than like half a second.
[138] We're like, oh, they're fucking.
[139] They're gay.
[140] Those two are in love.
[141] Yes.
[142] And yeah, it's the same thing.
[143] Canon until proven otherwise that those characters are bi.
[144] Or gay if they've never shown interest in a boy or anything like that.
[145] Yep.
[146] I'm glad we're so...
[147] in sync about this i'm glad you already you were already in this world we are in sync about this we we agree that characters should be in diapers and they'll prove otherwise such as your d and d such as your d and d party start the episode it's it's it's perfectly normal for girls range which is any Hi, everyone.
[148] Welcome to the Usual Vet.
[149] Tune -up page play discussion podcast.
[150] Every week we make about the loser is in diapers for the next episode.
[151] I am the...
[152] Which one am I?
[153] You're the baby.
[154] I'm the baby?
[155] Hold on.
[156] Let me just check.
[157] Yeah.
[158] No, you're the baby.
[159] Wow.
[160] Okay.
[161] Well, I guess I'm the baby sister encounter extraordinaire Sophie Elizabeth.
[162] And I am the big sister and bet winner.
[163] Chloe, Elizabeth, of course plant mommies won.
[164] I know.
[165] You knew they would win.
[166] Yeah.
[167] Of course they did.
[168] I've been reading those stories.
[169] It's been great.
[170] I won't get into it because that was last week's episode.
[171] It's a blast.
[172] Plant mommies are awesome.
[173] Lyra listened to the episode last week and she came up to me and she said, I want to write a story about a plant mommy.
[174] And she doesn't know the rules or anything.
[175] Yeah, whatever.
[176] Whatever.
[177] But she said, and you'll, okay, you know what?
[178] You'll have to tell me if this is in line.
[179] Okay.
[180] Yeah, I will.
[181] I know the rules now.
[182] She wants to write a plant mommy who's new to plant mommy.
[183] Like, kind of young plant mommy.
[184] Totally fine.
[185] Like, kind of like, she's a teenager, you know, like, vibes.
[186] Yeah.
[187] As far as I know, that's totally fine.
[188] Who finds a little, like a human.
[189] Yep.
[190] And wants to keep it as a pet.
[191] Yeah.
[192] And like be like, oh, look, mom, I want this.
[193] And have like the sort of like.
[194] Whoa.
[195] The kind of like older kid aesthetic of like, I want to get a pet.
[196] Oh my gosh.
[197] i've never seen that i mean i haven't read that much of this this world space but that's a great idea so i'm not fully mature like uh like uh and then then that the plant mommy's mommy yeah is like okay well you have to take care of it these are the things you have to do and then she gets to like she wants to write the story and she's like she's like i want i just then i can play like kind of a babysitter kind of like middley character instead of like a caregiver mommy character wow who has to take care of this this human i think that's a brilliant that's a that's a fresh take i think that's awesome i don't know if that's in line with the rules because you said there were far as i know it is i i think it probably is from the rules i know i love that man what a what a little creative genius lyra is oh i know she's so smart she's just a smart little cookie smart little cookie she's in diapers until canonically proven otherwise yeah canon has proved she's in diapers anyway you're so right okay um i have a thing i want to talk about i'm very excited Oh, okay.
[198] I'm jumping for joy.
[199] I'm thrilled.
[200] The rumor mill has been milling.
[201] I don't really know how a mill works, but it's been cranking them out.
[202] It's been taking that information.
[203] Mill's like a noun.
[204] Yeah.
[205] And it's a verb?
[206] Like you can mill something.
[207] Like you can mill cards.
[208] You can mill things at a mill.
[209] You can mill cards in like Magic the Gathering, right?
[210] Yeah, but I think that's like...
[211] I think it's the same word.
[212] I think that's like an abuse of the verb.
[213] So like a mill mills things.
[214] A mill mills things.
[215] So it can be both a noun and a verb.
[216] We've established this.
[217] Okay, ready?
[218] I'm going to blow your mind.
[219] Do you know where a mill is?
[220] It's in a windmill.
[221] What do you mean?
[222] A windmill is a mill powered by the wind.
[223] That's what windmills are for.
[224] Your face.
[225] I guess.
[226] There's also a water mill, which I guess is powered by water.
[227] Yeah.
[228] Like the little, like from the, you know, from over the garden wall?
[229] Yeah.
[230] No, it's the same thing.
[231] Because that's, he's, in over the garden wall, he's like milling down plants or the edelwoods, yeah, and turning it into oil.
[232] So is milling just breaking?
[233] I think it's a crushing...
[234] But it makes it into a new thing.
[235] It doesn't just destroy it.
[236] It makes it like a new thing.
[237] So yeah.
[238] Anyway, the rumor mill has been activated.
[239] Maybe the rumor mill is powered by rumors.
[240] Because a windmill is powered by wind and a water mill is powered by water.
[241] So the rumor mill is breaking something down.
[242] Yeah.
[243] The rumors are not the thing that is being broken.
[244] It's the thing powering and breaking.
[245] A rumor mill is breaking truth down into something else.
[246] It's breaking the truth of reality down and obfuscating it with rumors.
[247] It's using rumors to break apart truth.
[248] Yeah.
[249] And turn truth into...
[250] Different truth.
[251] Yes.
[252] Okay.
[253] So yeah.
[254] Okay.
[255] The rumor mill is active.
[256] And I want to start.
[257] I want to.
[258] I want to.
[259] No, listen.
[260] Stop laughing.
[261] I'm in the middle of a thought.
[262] Shut your mouth.
[263] I'm talking.
[264] Listen.
[265] Stop it.
[266] I'm trying.
[267] I'm trying.
[268] Okay.
[269] I'm trying.
[270] I want to open.
[271] A business.
[272] Okay.
[273] Like a coffee shop.
[274] Yeah.
[275] Or a bar.
[276] Yeah.
[277] And I want to do it inside of a windmill.
[278] Or a watermill.
[279] That's a great idea.
[280] And I want to call it the rumor mill.
[281] The rumor mill is encouraging.
[282] It could be like a tavern.
[283] Maybe a speakeasy.
[284] Yeah, it could be a speakeasy.
[285] That's great.
[286] You can go there and you can get like information.
[287] And every bit of information you say powers the windmill.
[288] It's not powered by wind.
[289] Yeah, exactly.
[290] See, it'd be great.
[291] Be like, oh, like, where'd you hear that?
[292] Oh, I heard it from the rumor mill.
[293] And they're like, it's down, down.
[294] They're like, what's the rumor?
[295] Oh, it's that bar down on 4th.
[296] I ever wear diapers.
[297] I heard it from the rumor mill.
[298] Whoa, that place is really legitimate.
[299] Exactly.
[300] You know it's true.
[301] It broke truth down into new truth.
[302] Maybe it's magic.
[303] Shut up.
[304] I'm still talking.
[305] Maybe it's magically enchanted.
[306] So anything at the rumor mill.
[307] Yeah.
[308] Becomes true.
[309] Because it grinds truth down to new truth.
[310] You're so right.
[311] You should make a story about this.
[312] You walk into the rumor mill.
[313] And like you accidentally talk about something.
[314] Like you're like.
[315] You spread a rude rumor about someone.
[316] Like a mistruth.
[317] I love the idea of it just being kind of accidental.
[318] Like, you go in, you're sitting down at the bar, you're, like, pounding the drinks back, and, like, someone's next to you and breaks the canon rule and is like, wow, like, you don't even run off to the bathroom, you know?
[319] And, like, you're sitting there and you're just like, oh, yeah, no, like, I'm in diapers, you know?
[320] It's like a joke.
[321] But you said it in the rumor mill, so now it's true.
[322] Like, you walk out of the thing and you're in diapers and you're like, what's happening?
[323] You're like, I'm not supposed to be in diapers.
[324] in diapers and then then everyone's like oh yeah you're in diapers right and then you're like no i'm not and then they'll be like check you and they'll be like yeah you are like like i knew that was true and and then it's like no that's that's not what happened i i don't wear diapers and it's like everyone knows you wear diapers like it's been around i love that it's such a good story idea i love it as the basis of a story yeah then you go there the next day and it's gone The rumor mill is gone.
[325] It's because it was rumored not to be that word.
[326] This is such a great little extra planar story concept.
[327] Like a really simple premise of a building that can change reality.
[328] And people will go into it and stuff.
[329] Say something really obscure.
[330] and then leave and then suddenly the world changes and no one knows where the rumor mill is next but like maybe it even comes up in like like uh like folklore and stuff and then you have one person who's like been turned into like a like a baby or like um is stuck in diapers full time and like has like a oral fixation and it's like you know whatever and then and her story begins like four years after this and she's been tracking down the rumor mill so she can change everything back.
[331] Trying to convince her mommy to go on vacation where the rumor mill is going to be next.
[332] Until finally she finds it and goes in and like spreads like the rumor that she's like an adult or whatever.
[333] And then like she'll come out and she'll finally be like an adult again and everything will be back to normal.
[334] She'll be like, oh, thank God.
[335] But then she doesn't realize she said something else in there that actually changes things in a totally new way.
[336] But then she'll kind of go.
[337] Well, it's better.
[338] This is fine.
[339] You know what?
[340] Whatever.
[341] I love that idea.
[342] You have to write a story in the rumor mill first.
[343] This is such a clever idea.
[344] Right?
[345] I actually really like this idea.
[346] I love it.
[347] I think it's great.
[348] Okay, do you want to know what I want to talk about?
[349] Oh, yeah, right.
[350] No, you had a thing.
[351] Oops, I forgot.
[352] Yeah, it doesn't compare to the rumor mill.
[353] Oh, man. Okay, go ahead.
[354] What did you hear at the rumor mill?
[355] I saw, um, I heard at the rumor mill, I heard that Good Nights was releasing a bigger size of pull -up.
[356] They have bumped it up to XXL.
[357] Oh, man. When XL came out and I was like, this is cool.
[358] Now I can fit in pull -ups.
[359] And then I try it out and I go, no, I can't.
[360] I still can't fit in pull -ups.
[361] Okay, now I have to look into this.
[362] Yeah.
[363] Like real life?
[364] Yeah, like real life.
[365] No, I mean like, is this like a, do you want me to pause the episode?
[366] It's just, it's for real life.
[367] No, but like, should I pause the episode?
[368] For real life, Chloe?
[369] Sophie!
[370] I'm just seeing what their weight range is, okay?
[371] Okay, but I know the weight range.
[372] I can tell you.
[373] I've got it in my head.
[374] Okay, what is it?
[375] It's like 140 or 20 to 160.
[376] Ooh, 160, huh?
[377] 160.
[378] Which, of course, I'm still over.
[379] But, like, I...
[380] XL goes up to 140.
[381] It says 95 to 140.
[382] So this is going to be...
[383] This is going to be 20 pounds more than that.
[384] They look like they're in, like, 20 pound increment sizes.
[385] Yep.
[386] So this is going to be basically an adjustment from large...
[387] Large to XL.
[388] Oh, no. It's from large extra large.
[389] Yeah.
[390] to xl and then from xl to xxl okay this uh does this exist the internet doesn't want to show me any information again you got it you're kind of jumping ahead of me here sophie okay it's a rumor so not just like a little bit of a rumor but it's from the rumor mill but is this the magical rumor mill or is it like one of the knockoff rumor mills that named their bar the rumor mill because of the rumor about the rumor mill it's people have seen it on like um like brand testing sites and things like that like like people have seen it on like like uh reputable places that signify that they are going to be launching this like this thing is going to be moving forward but it is not like uh it's soft launch that's the word for it it's being soft launched currently it hasn't had a full launch it's being like like low -key vibes you know what i mean Okay.
[391] It does have an Amazon listing.
[392] Exactly.
[393] That is how you know that it's going to happen, but it's still soft launching.
[394] Okay.
[395] Yep.
[396] 120 to 165.
[397] Yep.
[398] I am so wildly excited about this.
[399] Sophie, you want to know something?
[400] Hmm.
[401] So I've gained some weight over the pandemic and I haven't really gotten rid of it.
[402] I know.
[403] You're so cute.
[404] I'm sorry, but like chubby girls just, they're so cute.
[405] I'm, like, right at the edge.
[406] You're not chubby, but you got, like, you got the cute little round cheeks now.
[407] Yes.
[408] I love my round cheeks, but.
[409] And those big, big knockers.
[410] Those big knockers.
[411] Hopefully those won't go away if I lose weight.
[412] But anyway, listen.
[413] I don't fit into XL pull -ups well.
[414] I fit, but they don't fit well.
[415] They feel a little too strong.
[416] You don't fit into XL pull -ups anymore?
[417] No. Oh, there's no chance in hell of me fitting into these XXLs, huh?
[418] No, hold on, hold on.
[419] Listen.
[420] I don't fit well into them.
[421] I can wear them, but I'm always worried they're going to rip or something like that.
[422] I'm, like, right at their limit, you know?
[423] And so I'm really excited for these XXLs because I've always loved Goodnight.
[424] Goodnight have been a part of my littleness since, like, I was, like, 18 and no younger.
[425] When I was a kid, you know, 18 and no younger.
[426] Yeah, absolutely.
[427] I would get, like, before I was, like...
[428] bigger like physically in size bigger um before you aged and became more of an adult from 18 and no younger right to 18 and 19 even yeah that transition between 18 and 19 huge jump um but i would get like good nights or get pull -ups or whatever and then i'd like stretch them intentionally and if you like stretch them out like in advance then you don't have to worry about them ripping so much so i'd like stretch them and stretch them for like half an hour whoa well because you have to stretch them and like let them come back and stretch them and you have to do it like over and over and then i could pull them up and wear them and they were really good and i like them exactly it is a good one that's how i feel and i i have all this nostalgia for them and they're part of my littleness so i've been really sad actually like and i had like a whole breakdown about it like i cried with live because she kept trying to get me to wear them and i kept not wearing them and she's like hey why why you love these and i'm like because i don't fit in them you know so it's been a whole thing so i'm really really excited about this i will say and just to step outside the pull -up thing really quick um You look great in diapers.
[429] Thank you.
[430] Like, I don't remember when it was.
[431] It was a few days ago.
[432] And I came downstairs.
[433] And you were sitting there with your diaper on full display for everyone to see.
[434] And you had a little skirt on that did nothing to hide your diaper.
[435] Yeah.
[436] I remember this.
[437] Yep.
[438] And you were just sitting there.
[439] And there's something about your size and the way that mediums fit you that...
[440] It just perfectly hugs, just like right under your butt.
[441] It's really fluffy between the legs.
[442] I have never considered these things about me. And like your thighs aren't big enough to kind of like push the diaper in too much.
[443] And you just look banging.
[444] I'm embarrassed.
[445] You look like a doll.
[446] What do you mean?
[447] You look like a Goya painting.
[448] I do not.
[449] Yes, you do.
[450] It's so cute.
[451] i i don't know what it is but you know how like sometimes you wear well i guess you wouldn't know this but normally when you wear a diaper there will be times where it'll like kind of bunch up in a weird way or it'll kind of like i know that it like folds in the in the middle or like folds on the sides or something i specifically fold it when i put it on to to prevent that yeah well you get none of that because i i did it on purpose you just you the the the it looks like this It looks drawn on you.
[452] No, it doesn't.
[453] Yes, you look like a lazy, blazy art. No, I do not.
[454] Yeah, you do.
[455] I appreciate what you're saying.
[456] I'm very embarrassed, but I do not.
[457] Yeah, you look so cute.
[458] I don't know.
[459] I'm speechless.
[460] So, in my opinion, I hope these pull -ups don't fade.
[461] Because I feel like there's no reason to step back into pull -ups.
[462] I, it's just.
[463] With how cute you look in diapers.
[464] You should just be in just diapers.
[465] Also, for the record, like, it's been try -agains recently, and Chloe, don't try again.
[466] These are perfect.
[467] Shut up.
[468] Shut up.
[469] You look so good.
[470] Okay, I have some words.
[471] Can I have these words about pull -ups?
[472] Am I allowed to talk about pull -ups?
[473] I think it's just because you're a little bit round at your hips now.
[474] I can't get Lyra to look as good in diapers as you look in diapers.
[475] Yeah, but she looks better in baby clothes.
[476] She's got a flat butt.
[477] She's got just like...
[478] It just doesn't have the...
[479] The plump.
[480] The, you know, the cushion for the pushing.
[481] Yeah, that's called the pizza butt.
[482] The cushies for the pushies.
[483] It's a pizza butt.
[484] It's powered by pizza.
[485] Okay.
[486] I love plumps.
[487] They're a part.
[488] Of my littleness.
[489] I want them back.
[490] I really hope they fit me. Even if they aren't as aesthetically pleasing on me as a well plumped diaper.
[491] Okay, so the other thing is if you're in pull -ups, you're not sitting there like legs spread, thumb and mouth and like flashing your pull -up at me. So like I'm not, if I see you on pull -ups, I'm like, oh, like you're kind of like high, like it's like a little peak of your pull -up or like, oh, I get just a little glimpse under your skirt.
[492] Like that's, it's not the same as you like Laying there on your back in your mommy's lap with a bottle in your mouth.
[493] And you're like, I have a baby.
[494] And then, like, your diaper's on full display.
[495] Like, I get a good look, you know?
[496] You know, if pull -ups actually fit me, like, really fit me, like, if a good night really fit me, maybe I feel comfortable not, like, covering up, like, just wearing, like, a t -shirt and a pull -up, you know?
[497] I think that's a really adorable look.
[498] Oh, t -shirt and pull -up.
[499] Right?
[500] Oh, man, that is a look.
[501] And if it really fit.
[502] And I'm like, I'm like, I'm like.
[503] to reveal my weight like 180 right now so if i lost the 20 pounds i would be in the weight range i don't know what being in the right range does if it unlocks a new special skill 165 plus or whatever it is i think that you're totally within that range at 180.
[504] what is what is the i don't on i don't why why would you put your sizing in weights is that just for like how much like they can hold like i can answer i can answer this question go ahead please it's because When you are looking at a baby.
[505] Yeah.
[506] Or a toddler or a kid.
[507] Because that's what pull -ups are for.
[508] Size is irrelevant.
[509] Yeah.
[510] Size is extremely specific.
[511] And the fluctuation.
[512] Okay.
[513] It's like when you are.
[514] We've talked about like how things scale.
[515] You know.
[516] And why like baby clothes don't have to be quite so tailored.
[517] But adult clothes.
[518] kind of do need to be in order for you to like see the the difference there so babies because they're smaller yeah um every inch matters a lot more right yep so having the difference between like um so if you for a normal uh adult uh thing you can buy it say like oh size between oh adult diapers let's use those as examples um you'll see like 36 inches to 44 inches that's eight inches yeah that is a huge disparity that's true eight inches on a baby is their entire body you having having a size that differentiates your baby by like two inches it's not precise enough because it's you're working with a smaller ruler.
[519] It's the difference between centimeters and inches.
[520] Centimeters are obviously more specific.
[521] Use centimeters when measuring, you know, like projects and stuff that you need to be precise on.
[522] Whereas use inches to measure people because people, you know, it doesn't matter if you're, it doesn't matter if you're five, six or five, six and a half.
[523] Like it's irrelevant.
[524] So we use inches to measure people.
[525] But when you're looking at a baby, doing a physical measurement like that every like inch and half inch means a lot more so instead they go based on weight you can like based on your baby's weight or age um like six months eight months or whatever or you know you say they're like you know five pounds 30 i don't know how much baby weighs i've never held one um um then you you get an idea of oh my baby weighs x amount they'll fit into this range of whatever because um the measurements are just so much more specific so the problem is they scaled the the baby diapers into good nights and then they scaled the good nights into good night xls and then they scaled the good night xls into good night xxls so it's it's we're in a weird position where it's a it's kind of littling actually because it's like a a baby's like sizing system but realistically at adult sizes like if we're 165 could mean a like it could mean 10 sizes 165 could mean a spherical child or a normal just like like proportioned adult um i'm of the impression and call me a conspiracy theorist here i'm of the impression that goodnight's knows who these are for i'm of the belief And I'm willing to bet on it that Goodnight knows who these are for.
[526] That they know they're not selling pull -ups to someone who weighs 120 to 165 pounds unless that person wants to be in pull -ups.
[527] I disagree with you.
[528] You disagree with me?
[529] Yes.
[530] Really?
[531] Yeah, we're in America.
[532] You want to bet on it?
[533] I'm sure you can find a five -year -old that's 140 pounds.
[534] Like I said, a spherical child.
[535] um but it's also like i think about um this recent push for adult diapers being a lot more normal right for taking the term adult diaper and just being like yeah that's fine like we're not going to talk about the protective undergarments or like it's like no it's just yeah you know we're moving into that era and there are people who are incontinent or there are people who can't you know get to the bathroom and instead of turning that into like a baby thing versus like a secretive we're gonna be really secret adult thing about it like oh my gosh okay we can't talk about the fact that we're incontinent it's moved into this place where we're a lot more okay with the adult side of things and i think the pull -ups are good nights i guess i don't know There's a difference.
[536] I think they're brand differences.
[537] I think technically it's a brand difference.
[538] I think it's a Q -tip situation.
[539] I think pull -ups are pampers and goodnights are huggies.
[540] Anyway, it doesn't matter.
[541] It doesn't matter.
[542] I'm saying that because of the push for adult diapers to be more socially acceptable, I think also having this space where you have, you know, they're still a kid, but they don't want to transition to wearing adult diapers yeah but like maybe bedwetting is still a problem or you know maybe they do need pull -ups sometimes i when i was a teenager i was in this weight range um so If I was an incontinent teenager, I could see wanting these, um, purely in a non -baby way, like in a, in a, in a, hey, I don't want to wear a diaper.
[543] I'm not a baby kind of way.
[544] So yeah, you know what?
[545] I was, I was looking through my, my, my, my ABDL lens too, too firmly.
[546] I think you're right.
[547] Canon until proven otherwise, right?
[548] Yeah.
[549] No, okay.
[550] I can see.
[551] I think you're right.
[552] I think this is just a really cool move from Good Nights.
[553] I'd love to see Good Nights make even bigger sizes.
[554] Not for the ABDL community, but just saying...
[555] Just for people who don't want to be in an adult diaper.
[556] Like, yeah, I think that, you know, it's embarrassing to say, oh, I'm still in pull -ups at night, you know?
[557] Yeah.
[558] But...
[559] I guess I can't speak from experience because I don't know.
[560] I've never been a teenager who needed pull -ups who didn't want to be in them.
[561] Yeah, because when you wanted to be in them, you were 18 and no younger.
[562] Right, exactly.
[563] But I imagine that as a teenager or, you know, a preteen or older child who still needs to wear pull -ups, the idea of, like, what's better?
[564] is is it better to have a good night which is supposed to be for more like toddlers or is it better to have like an adult diaper or like adult pull -up that kind of looks like an adult pull -up like what's what's the right answer there for you the right answer is it's options it's giving people the options to choose what's best for them personally and i think i think that's great also specifically on this um it says you know uh xxl good nights they are huggies by the way okay um like these ones are boys i'm wondering what the girls ones are gonna look like but boys bed wedding nighttime underwear um i wonder what they look like i i'm very curious are they just going to keep using the kind of like boyish camo trucks design they were using so here's the thing yeah the xl ones are not Like the mediums are the larges.
[565] They're not that baby.
[566] I guess I don't know what the larges look like.
[567] Or the mediums look like.
[568] But I know that like at least the mediums have like Disney characters and stuff on them.
[569] But you don't see those on the bigger sizes.
[570] Which is devastating.
[571] But I also think it's because.
[572] they're really trying to be like, hey, this doesn't have to be a baby thing with little baby prints.
[573] This can just look like normal underwear.
[574] And I think that that's good.
[575] Not for me, but for the greater population, I think that's good.
[576] It's good.
[577] Capital G, but it's not good for me. I want my bell pull -ups.
[578] If I had a kid who still needed pull -ups, I would want them to have...
[579] options i'd want them to have choices to be like hey what kind of thing would make you feel more comfortable and if they're like oh i don't want to wear these because they have like all these like mild childish prints on them i'm like i get that that makes perfect sense so i it's like but switching over to adult diapers it's like this other thing and i don't know you're right options are good Honestly, across the board, just good on good nights.
[580] I'm really excited for this for my personal uses.
[581] And I think this is really good for people who aren't excited for them in the same way I am.
[582] I really do think that even though these products are made for, you know, kids and people with bedwetting problems growing up, even though that's true, I do think that the only reason these XXLs happened is because the XL market is inflated.
[583] yeah by abdls i i do think that that's true i'm sure once again the age play community basically funding and sponsoring things that should exist for people with disabilities and i think that's awesome yep it's it's a a nice little like crossover of we live in a capitalist nightmare realm but Our personal interests overlap with people who actually need these things.
[584] And so people who actually need these things can get the support and funding they need that the capitalist nightmare realm would never acquiesce to if it weren't being subsidized by kink players.
[585] Yeah.
[586] No, for sure.
[587] Wow.
[588] Well, I don't have a bet now.
[589] That's okay.
[590] I do.
[591] You do?
[592] Okay, cool.
[593] Are you done with the Good Nights thing?
[594] I'm just excited about it.
[595] I'm really excited for them to come out.
[596] I want to try them.
[597] Once again, I'm not holding my breath.
[598] I didn't think I'd fit into the XLs and I didn't.
[599] I'm probably not going to fit into these.
[600] But hey, even if they're comparative to the kind of adult pull -ups that I currently have, that'd be a really nice change for me. For sure.
[601] or maybe a good incentive for me to like lose 10 pounds or something for sure who knows if this could be a good incentive for me to like lose 20 the idea of fitting into the weight range it tickles my brain you know what i mean i've never been near that so i'm like for sure i'm only 20 pounds i could lose 20 pounds probably okay you have a bet yeah okay so we were talking about canon until proven otherwise yes okay very simply um For the people listening to the show, what's your take?
[602] Do you want a canon that people are just in diapers now?
[603] If you did it already or if you just want to keep doing it, like if you want to be like, oh, that's such a good idea.
[604] Are you the kind of person that's like me?
[605] And you're like, I'm just going to assume everyone is in diapers until proven otherwise.
[606] Or are you more the person like Chloe who's like, I'll put certain people in diapers that, fit narratively correct for those people or like like i'll personally like want them to be in diapers but i know they're not you know it's it's a different thing between automatically assuming making the assumption in general like i'm just gonna assume everyone is in diapers or at least a majority or at least enough of people that we don't talk about bathroom stuff at all or am i going to be very particular sophie i want to make clear here what what what you've done what you're attempting to do yeah you are attempting to hoist me by my own petard or whatever the expression is i i came into this episode hoping to give people new fun tools to look at new lenses to look at the world through and that i don't personally use and now you are attempting to to use that to weaponize that and make people wear diapers next week yeah yes i am okay i'll take the bet okay so i so if you have had cannons that you know characters until proven otherwise just kind of this base assumption let's put them in diapers there can be exclusions to this there can be you know your own stipulations but if you if you've decided either before or during listening to this episode Oh, yeah.
[607] What a great idea.
[608] Why not?
[609] Of course.
[610] I want all my media to be diaper media.
[611] Yes, exactly.
[612] Then vote yes.
[613] If you...
[614] Do not want your carrots and your mashed potatoes to touch.
[615] If you don't want your foods to touch, if you don't want your narratives to touch, if you want diaper smut and diaper play to be in its place and fictional sci -fi...
[616] star wars -esque adventures through space to be in its place because i don't think they ever show a bathroom in star wars um i do if you want those things to be totally put them all in diapers put land diapers put luke in diapers do it uh then vote with me so that's that's i just i don't like mixing my media hey i completely understand for you you have taken the idea of diapers tied it to this concept of what that represents what that means and without um a purpose behind it yeah you don't want it to be baseline yes you if if people are in diapers it needs to be a topic it needs to be a focus it needs it needs its relevance here you can see some mental health threads tying that all the way back to that one episode where i talked about how i don't want to wear a diaper unless there's like a purpose there or whatever oh yeah there's there's stuff i'm not getting into it but i see the threads i'm gonna avert my eyes from the threads and move on okay i think honestly i think both of these are really great answers i love the idea of the experimental play of just like why not like there's like sure go ahead that's that sounds fun it's it just you know in every characters will have different reasons you know it's not like oh they're all baby but it's like why not why not put them in diapers unless proven otherwise but I also think that there's a lot of merit in the idea of, well, if I'm going to have these characters wear diapers, I want it to matter.
[617] I want it to mean something.
[618] I don't want to just assume they're in diapers.
[619] If they're in a diaper, I want it to be addressed, brought out, pulled into the light.
[620] That's where I'm at.
[621] Yep.
[622] All right.
[623] I'm actually super curious how this pans out.
[624] Me too.
[625] I know.
