[2] This morning, Russia announced that it will not be renewing the grain deal that allowed Ukraine to export its grain around the world.
[3] Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has more.
[4] That agreement, which first began in July 2022, was set to expire Monday evening at 5 p .m. Eastern Standard Time.
[5] The move could harm supply chains, lead to food shortages, cause grocery prices to surge, and further escalate.
[6] the war.
[7] Ukraine has historically been known as the breadbasket of the world.
[8] Ukraine's foreign minister, Dmitro Kuleba, had a blunt message for Russia Monday morning.
[9] Stop playing hunger games with the people around the world.
[10] That's very simple, because it's impossible to fully compensate the blockade of Ukrainian ports by inland routes.
[11] So Russia is using hunger as an instrument to blackmail the world, pursuing its own commercial interests.
[12] Stop playing hunger games.
[13] Ukraine also took responsibility Monday morning for an attack on a key bridge that connects Russia to the Crimean Peninsula.
[14] As CNN reports, the bridge holds both logistic and symbolic importance for Russia after the country annexed Crimea in 2014, the last time it invaded Ukraine.
[15] According to reports, a husband and wife were killed in the explosions.
[16] Pennsylvania authorities are still searching for a missing nine -month -old and his two year old sister in the Philadelphia area after the duo were presumably swept away in flash flooding that hit the region Saturday evening.
[17] That weather emergency killed five individuals in Upper Makefield Township in Bucks County.

[19] Our hearts do go out to the families affected by this tragedy.
[20] So far, we've had seven missing people, five have been recovered.
[21] With the five deaths due to the flood waters, mass casualty incident like these, which we have to be.
[22] never seen before, unbelievable and devastating to all the families involved.
[23] We are all grieving.
[24] Also near Philly on Monday morning, a CSX Norfolk Southern freight train derailed in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, forcing residents nearby to be evacuated from their homes and offices.
[25] Officials say that one train car was transporting hazardous material, but as of now, quote, there is no indication of any leaks or spills, nor are there any injuries reported thus far.
[26] One mother and daughter in the evacuation zone told CPS what it was like being asked to leave their home.
[27] It all happened really fast.
[28] We don't have shoes on.
[29] Didn't really know how long we would be or how serious it was until we pulled out of the neighborhood and saw all the lights, helicopters, fire trucks, etc. Right as you hear the door at 5 .30 in the morning, it's a little shocking.
[30] And yeah, it was just scary.
[31] First thought for me kind of, these goes to my family and friends.
[32] Media personality, Tucker Carlson, has reportedly agreed to a seven -figure ad deal with the company Public Square for his new Twitter show.
[33] Public Square aims to connect patrons with businesses that are, quote, pro -life, pro -family, and pro -freedom.
[34] The news comes amidst reports that Carlson and his longtime friend and business partner, Neil Patel, are starting a new media company.
[35] New York City has a new top cop, Edward Caban.
[36] Mayor Eric Adams announced Caban's appointment Monday.

[38] He is the first Latino New York City Police Commissioner and comes with decades of experience.

An Australian sailor who says he survived over two months lost at sea with his dog, is, quote, stable and very well, according to his doctor.
[42] 51 -year -old Tim Shaddock and his dog, Bella, were sailing from Mexico to French Polynesia when rough seas damaged their calm systems, leaving them unable to call for help.
[43] Shaddock says he and his dog survived by drinking rainwater and eating raw fish.
[44] Against all odds, Shattuck was spotted by a helicopter that was accompanying a tuna trawler, leading to the eventual rescue of the pair.
