[1] It's Monday, October 3rd, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.

[2] Authorities say that at least 88 people in Florida have lost their lives due to Hurricane Ian.

[3] Over 613 ,000 houses in the state still do not have electricity as of Monday.

[4] Florida Congressman Byron Donalds described the devastation on Fox News.

[26] According to CNBC, freight prices on one key route from Asia to the West Coast are now down more than 80 % from last year.

[27] And Google has stopped its Google Translate product in mainland China, saying in a statement it is due to low usage.
