[8] during his address to Congress.
[9] The leaders discussed a number of topics and met with the families of Americans held hostage by Hamas.
[10] National Security Council Press Secretary John Kirby says much of the conversation will focus on hostage negotiations.
[11] We want to get all the hostages home, clearly the Americans in particular.
[12] And that's why this deal is so important, Peter.
[13] And we are close.
[14] We are closer now, we believe, than we've been before.
[15] The gaps are closable.
[16] no question about that.
[17] And we believe, the president believes, that getting that hostage deal in place, getting that six -week ceasefire, that's the best way to get all these loved ones back with their families.
[18] Netanyahu also thanked Biden for his decades of support for Israel.
[19] Harris, who did not attend Netanyahu's speech, will meet with him separately.

[37] Without objection, a motion to reconsider is laid upon the table.
[38] This is the first legislative action targeting Harris since she became the presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee.
[39] While Democrats have labeled the resolution as politically motivated, Republicans have long criticized Harris' role as the borders are, accusing her of failing to address illegal immigration.

[41] A judge will allow former President Donald Trump's defamation case against ABC to continue.

[43] You've endorsed Donald Trump for president.
[44] Right.
[45] Donald Trump has been found liable for rape by a jury.
[46] It was not a criminal court case number one, number two.
[47] I live with shame, and you're asking me a question about my political choices trying to shame me as a rape victim, and I find it disgusting.
[48] The claim references E. Jean Carroll's lawsuit against Trump, alleging he raped her in 1996.
[49] The jury did not find Trump guilty of rape, but did find him liable for sexual abuse, something that's defined differently under New York law.
