[3] We start off the week with my colleague Will Salatan.

[4] How are you, Will?

[5] Great, Charlie.

[6] We have something new in Washington today.

[7] It is called snow.

[8] Everyone's very excited.

[9] Weirdly enough, we don't have any snow on the ground right now in Wisconsin, but it's really not a matter of excitement here because it's like nine months out of the year.

[10] So, hey, congratulations, enjoy it.

[11] We have all the equipment, though.

[12] I mean, we're ready.

[13] I have a giant snowblower in the garage.

[14] We have salt.

[15] we have Sanders, we have, you know, every municipality has, you know, these huge snow plows.

[16] So it's no big deal.

[17] I understand that in Washington there's a little snow in everybody goes, what do we do?

[18] Does anybody know anyone who has a shovel?

[19] So Washington, to me, is an upgrade from where I grew up in Texas.

[20] Literally, in Texas, it snowed a quarter of an inch.

[21] Charlie, they closed the schools.

[22] They had no idea what to do.

[23] In Washington, what happens is there will be members of Congress who will be showing up with little jars of snow to show that global warming is.

[24] fake.

[25] That's wonderful.

[26] Okay, so let's start off the week this way.

[27] I want to confess that my Morning Shots newsletter is perhaps a little more depressing than usual, but I woke up this morning and I thought, okay, so how do we start the week?

[28] And there's just so many things to keep track of over the weekend as there is every Monday, right?

[29] But it did feel like the planets are aligning.

[30] And so I did a series of alignments.

[31] So on the website, formerly known as Twitter, now known as, I believe, shitter.

[32] Is it how you pronounce it?

[33] I'm not sure.

[34] So you have Alex Jones, Elon Musk, Andrew Tate, Vivek Ramoswamy, together in one thing.

[35] I had a tweet here that somebody wrote saying, nothing to see here, just the owner of this site, and a presidential candidate chatting it up with a man indicted for rape human trafficking.

[36] That's Andrew Tate.

[37] And another who lied about dead kids to harass their grieving parents.

[38] So happy Alex Jones is back on Twitter Monday.

[39] So that felt like an alignment of the planets.

[40] Meanwhile, in Think Tank World, you probably saw this story, Victor Orban.

[41] the Heritage Foundation and the pro -Pruton wing of the GOP are having a party.

[42] They all walk into a bar together.

[43] That's actually not a joke.

[44] Allies of Hungary's far -right Prime Minister, Victor Orban, will hold a closed -door meeting with Republicans in Washington to push for an ND -U
