Full Transcription:

[0] You're listening to Draft King's Network.

[1] Now's a good time to remember where the story of tequila started.

[2] In 1795, the first tequila distillery was opened by the Cuervo family.

[3] And 229 years later, Cuervo is still going strong.

[4] Family owned from the start, same family, same land.

[5] Now's a good time to enjoy Cuervo.

[6] The tequila that invented tequila.

[7] Go to Quervo .com to shop tequila or visit a store near you.

[8] Quervo, now's a good time.

[9] owned by Beckley, SAB, the CV, copyright 2024.

[10] Proximo.

[11] Jersey City, New Jersey, please drink responsibly.

[12] Welcome to the Big Suey, presented by Draft Kings.

[13] Why are you listening to this show?

[14] The podcast that seems very similar to the other Dan Lebitard podcast.

[15] I'm sorry, I'm not going to apologize for that.

[16] In fact, the only difference seems to be this imaging.

[17] I have been tempted in restaurants just walking past tables to grab somebody's fries if they're just there.

[18] That hasn't happened to you guys?

[19] I've done it.

[20] And now, here's the marching man to nowhere, fat face, and the habitual liar.

[21] We will get to weekend observations tomorrow.

[22] Dan will be back tomorrow.

[23] I will tell you, Mike, that I have an assortment of top fives that I have gathered, collected over two weeks, that if we don't get to any of them today, they will all be done during an hour -long weekend observations tomorrow because there are observations from the last two weeks of everything that happened in sports and what happened to us at Lake Tahoe.

[24] But before we get to that, so if you want to go to those at any point, feel free.

[25] An assortment of top fives.

[26] Athletes that can own a lake.

[27] Athletes that can note something you would find in a lake.

[28] I've got them all.

[29] Well, it does feel like you've been gone for a while.

[30] I know you've swung in here and there for a quick pit stop, but it does feel like you've been a part of the Grateful Dead for the last two and a half months.

[31] I have a residency in the sphere.

[32] Yeah, you've been following.

[33] Dude, every show, I know.

[34] every show is a unique experience, but like you've been to like 90 % of these sphere shows.

[35] I went to the first weekend, two thirds of the first weekend.

[36] I went to Friday and Saturday.

[37] So I went to two of the first three shows.

[38] Then I went to an entire weekend on the front end of my vacation time.

[39] So that's five shows right there.

[40] And then because we were in Lake Tahoe, not working, but we were there enjoying it because we love that event.

[41] I went to another one because I was a quick hop away from Vegas.

[42] It's a 12 -hour drive.

[43] It's not a...

[44] I took a plate.

[45] You're going to be the first person sick of the sphere.

[46] You're just going to be like, I'm over this.

[47] I'll never get tired of that place.

[48] I mean, very clear, if he's following that band, and to say, look, I've tried.

[49] I know that there's a whole thing that I can do to make me enjoy it more.

[50] I find jam bands, and you may find that as dismissive.

[51] No disrespect.

[52] It's just not for me. I find jam bands laborious.

[53] Right.

[54] But you love the sphere.

[55] I love the sphere.

[56] Yes.

[57] But I think even then I'd say, okay, kind of, kind of saw it, kind of saw it.

[58] I'm already there with like Lake Tahoe.

[59] I'm all right.

[60] I've done this enough.

[61] Really?

[62] And Lake Tahoe is as jaw -droppingly beautiful place on the planet as anybody.

[63] So how many shows for Dead and Company were there at the sphere?

[64] Well, they did, I don't know, seven weekends, three per weekend.

[65] So 21.

[66] I went to, I think, maybe 24.

[67] I went to six of them.

[68] Only?

[69] I went to a weekend of three, a weekend at two.

[70] and this weekend I went to one.

[71] Because it does feel like, it correct me if I'm wrong.

[72] It feels like Sucats has been gone for a really long time.

[73] I think he popped in real quick for like game four of the Stanley Cup finals and then deuced.

[74] I did.

[75] So I spent the, yes, but I had only, at the time my vacation started, I had only been to two shows at the sphere.

[76] During vacation, I went to four shows at the sphere.

[77] You work very hard.

[78] You're entitled to vacation, but it, like, you've been gone a while, yeah?

[79] I've been gone for two weeks, yeah.

[80] It feels something.

[81] I've been gone for two weeks.

[82] I mean, I'm sitting here on a Monday.

[83] Where's he?

[84] For whatever reason, it feels...

[85] Open championship week.

[86] It feels like two months.

[87] You were doing like one show per week for about the six weeks before that.

[88] That's what was going on.

[89] A lot of lacrosse mitzvahs.

[90] I'll be off Wednesday.

[91] There you go.

[92] So it stands the reason why you'd have an hour -long edition of weekend observations coming around the corner.

[93] Yes.

[94] Did you get to see any of the...

[95] I saw you for two days and then you dipped.

[96] You weren't out there the entire weekend in Tahoe, right?

[97] No, I went to deading company.

[98] Yeah.

[99] I mentioned it.

[100] It was my anniversary.

[101] and the reason why I'm confused is like, I didn't really want to see Stugats out there.

[102] I know, sorry.

[103] And here's what I didn't want to hear out there, okay?

[104] Because I traveled all the way to Lake Tahoe to not hear about Greg Burrhalter.

[105] And the first time I see Mike Ryan, what is he doing?

[106] Talking about Greg Burrhalter with Taylor Twelman.

[107] I mean, by the way, that guy could golf and he could dress.

[108] He is a handsome devil.

[109] But I travel to Lake Tahoe to get away from Burrhalter, and the first thing I'm engaged in with Mike is a conversation about Burrhalter.

[110] It's been happening to me a lot.

[111] A lot of people have come up to me. It's not your fault, though.

[112] No, it's not.

[113] I don't want to talk about Greg Burrhalter.

[114] You think I would much rather privately revel in the fact that Greg Burrhalter is out of my life than someone come up to me and remind me that Greg Burrhalter was in my life for five years.

[115] When I went to Chicago for the NASCAR Street Race, first time in my career, I'd ever been recognized for a take.

[116] Someone, like, clearly, they stopped me at Grand Park.

[117] They're like, I know you from somewhere.

[118] Where is it?

[119] I'm like, well, the Dan Levitard show.

[120] That's not it.

[121] And he was like, snapping the fingers.

[122] He's like, Burhalter guy.

[123] So I'm like, I guess that take got traction.

[124] That's a sad superhero.

[125] Yeah.

[126] So the last thing I wanted was just to talk about Greg Burhalter in that moment.

[127] But, yeah, Sugaatz, he does tend to just like saddle up.

[128] And, and, you know, And he sees me there with Taylor 12.

[129] I got to tell you, I felt it.

[130] I felt that you were on your, you know, you and Cynthia were enjoying yourself.

[131] Is this at the welcome party?

[132] Yeah.

[133] Yeah, the food truck party.

[134] Oh, no, no, no. Me, before.

[135] Oh, I went to, Mike wasn't at the welcome party.

[136] I went to the welcome party.

[137] Of course he did.

[138] Oh, it was fantastic.

[139] That was great.

[140] Was Ray there?

[141] I mean, I was cutting it up with Doug Peterson.

[142] Ray was there.

[143] Yeah.

[144] I don't know why Stugats was at this welcome party.

[145] Sugat's usually, I was showing my support for the events.

[146] Sugads definitely weaseled his way into this player's only meeting because at least before he would take part in the, like, the select.

[147] Celebrity Pro -Wam that's on Thursday, or he's out there working in and he's going to be on the driving range, so he's establishing, like, hey, we'll talk to you on Friday and whatnot.

[148] There was no reason for Stu Gads to be in this player's only meeting on Thursday, on Wednesday.

[149] I have no idea how he got in that building.

[150] Well, I know, but he shouldn't have been in of all days.

[151] I wasn't there because I realized why the F would I be there?

[152] Leave these guys alone.

[153] Stu went through the vents.

[154] I did.

[155] Was the magician there?

[156] No, no. Thankfully.

[157] What magician this year?

[158] Oh, the magician's terrible.

[159] No, JT?

[160] let's be honest.

[161] Dude, there was a pretty...

[162] Not the time for him, I don't think.

[163] I've got to tell you the numbers, I have found my fifth major, and it's this tournament.

[164] I love it so much.

[165] In part because we're always rooting for Marty Fish, who has become a friend of ours, and he won it yesterday, and I was excited for him, and I texted with him after his round was over.

[166] But I just love being out there.

[167] I love the event.

[168] It's the golf tournament that I pay the most attention to outside of the four majors of the PGA.

[169] I just love it out there.

[170] the attendance keeps grip.

[171] Mike, you noticed it was packed.

[172] It was a little different with like without Mahomes and Seth Curry there this here.

[173] It was super packed but usually you have like a huge gallery following.

[174] They were with the Kelsey's this year?

[175] Yeah, it was with Travis.

[176] I got to tell you the Kelsey's, I have never seen anything like this.

[177] I'm being serious in sports.

[178] We're an offensive lineman, a center because Travis did not arrive until the night before.

[179] Jason was there for the entire week and I am telling you after a practice round, Jason is perched like on a little boulder, okay, right by the driving range.

[180] And there are thousands of people surrounding Jason Kelsey wanting a center's autograph, a picture with Jason Kelsey.

[181] And then Travis Kelsey commits so much attention these days that they can figure out how to get them into the facility.

[182] It's an absolute sensation.

[183] Jason Kelsey was the second most famous person there in terms of, like, chirping from the gallery.

[184] That's how it's going to happen when you're in the Taylor Swift door.

[185] orbit.

[186] Absolutely.

[187] These two people in Jason and Travis Kelsey, who already were ultra -famous within their sport, gets a catapult to a level of celebrity that not even the celebrities who aren't known for sports have at this event.

[188] So you've been to this event.

[189] You know that traditionally it is owned.

[190] The event, in terms of fun and entertainment, it is owned by Mahomes and Travis Kelsey.

[191] And Justin Timberlake.

[192] And Timberlake.

[193] I am telling you, in two years time, Jason Kelsey will own that event.

[194] If he doesn't already, ready.

[195] He will own the event.

[196] You guys will love this because I go up to Kelsey and he's signing everything.

[197] Which one?

[198] Jason.

[199] Travis isn't there yet.

[200] This is after a practice round.

[201] And he is signing everything.

[202] And he's taking pictures and he's shaking hands and he's kissing babies.

[203] He's doing the whole thing for thousands of people.

[204] And I said, Jason, as he's doing it, I walked up to him.

[205] I said, listen, you need to learn a word.

[206] Mix it into your vocabulary.

[207] It's called him though.

[208] 30 minutes later, I send him a text asking him to join me on the show.

[209] did he say no he said yes you're the best it's still like his his brain of superstardom is still pretty cool to experience because him and Travis are really reveling in it and super accepting of it and it's great to see someone Charles is really Charles Barkley is really good at this he knows how important it is for someone to meet and have an experience with Charles Barkley and he wants everyone to come away with a good experience and the Kelsey's are kind of the same way yes I also feel the same way that Sougat's does.

[210] I also randomly treat the American Century Championship.

[211] It's like the fifth major.

[212] We do drafts on it and we follow Marty.

[213] Matt Ryan, good pick.

[214] Yeah, my, so my wife, here's my I love celebrity golf because I don't need to have this golfer explain to me. I'm already invested.

[215] Let's go.

[216] Competition format is a great reality show for me. So my wife and I, we follow Thielen, Jake Owen and Marty Fish for day one.

[217] That was like an incredible trio from a golf perspective, Those guys put up, I think, they were all in the top ten.

[218] They were all in the top ten in terms of scoring.

[219] So Cynthia is probably like, wow, these guys are pretty good at golf.

[220] These guys can play.

[221] Right.

[222] I had redemption, by the way, with Jake Owen.

[223] I got it right.

[224] He hugged me. Really?

[225] That's great.

[226] Now he was on the driving range and it said Jake Owen.

[227] Very helpful.

[228] He's also cut his hair, but also Aaron cut his hair.

[229] So it's a little confusing.

[230] Do you do the joke?

[231] It's not confusing.

[232] They don't look alike.

[233] No, it's not at all.

[234] I didn't do the joke, but I did spend my entire time following Aaron around saying, hey, watch it.

[235] Like, the guy's jumping for footballs.

[236] He's doing this.

[237] He's doing that.

[238] There was a time where he almost ran over Jake Golic's kid.

[239] And I'm like, Aaron, watch where you're going.

[240] I didn't care about Golic's kid.

[241] I can't about Aaron, not getting hurt.

[242] I saw him do like a little Euro step around someone's mark on the green.

[243] I'm like, be careful with that ankle, dude.

[244] Did you have, you had?

[245] Yeah, he was fine with me. Yeah, you were good.

[246] It's just you that he doesn't like.

[247] And Dan.

[248] Yeah.

[249] Okay, that's good.

[250] He and I are good.

[251] Or you just don't care.

[252] I think that's also like you just.

[253] Oh, no, I care.

[254] There are certain things that he have said that he has said over the last couple of years that have rubbed me the wrong way.

[255] No question about it.

[256] But I'm never going to in person say anything.

[257] But in person, I'm never going to say anything to him or Jake Owen.

[258] He's my quarterback.

[259] Yeah.

[260] So Cynthia was following, this was her first time at Lake Town, and she was following that trio.

[261] And the very next day, we decided to follow Matthew could chuck around for a little bit.

[262] And then she realized how hard golf is because she stopped following Marty Pitch.

[263] She goes from seeing, like, a dude on pace to set the course record to trying to actively helping trying to find Matthew Kichuk's third shot on 18, which was totally, never found.

[264] Just it disappeared.

[265] It went into the water somewhere.

[266] Who knows what became of it.

[267] She was shocked at how good Marty is compared to, like, the rest of the field.

[268] I told Marty, I'm taking 25 % credit for his victory.

[269] We had a little pre -round speech before the first round.

[270] I said what I had to say and he went out and won the thing.

[271] So, I mean, I said 25%.

[272] Marty said that's a bit too much.

[273] Your speech did motivate me. It's a bit too much.

[274] He dialed it back to 20.

[275] I'll meet him halfway, 22 .5%.

[276] I'm picturing you just saying, hit him straight, buddy.

[277] I said you the best golfer out here by a lot.

[278] Go win the bleeping thing.

[279] That's what I told him.

[280] Not by a lot.

[281] Pavelsky's pretty good.

[282] That guy's, he's a problem.

[283] Yeah.

[284] If you watch the American Century on TV, it's like the same broadcast over over again every year of them just being like this marty guy he's not just good he's really good and adam thieling he's got a little bit of that too john smoltz mark molder good golfers yeah really good golfers it's like it's like the same broadcast just re -air so it's modified stableford scoring out there so like the plus points are good so a rod as you don't double bogey you're good a rod you get minus two for a boge zero for a boge one for a par negative something a rod got a minus 32 day He did.

[285] I saw a video of him hitting one where it like hit something and like went back at him.

[286] It was just such a, it's good to see those kind of guys be normal.

[287] He's my new best friend, Aaron, and Mike had an awkward moment with him.

[288] Oh, that's right.

[289] It can't be worse than our like Nick Jonas, Justin Timberlake.

[290] Hey, Pa. Oh, yeah, let's find that.

[291] Let's find out of like the hits of the previous years.

[292] No, my, it wasn't my awkward moment.

[293] I shared it, but it was Cynthia's awkward moment with Aeron.

[294] She did something terrible.

[295] We'll talk to you about it next.

[296] in the NFL there is no margin for error one mistake can change the outcome of the game science proves quality sleep can help boost reaction time recovery time and overall athletic performance as the official sleep wellness partner of the NFL sleep number's mission is to provide players with data and insights to optimize their sleep for the ultimate competitive edge sleep is essential for recovery and we all have unique needs that's why sleep number smart beds are perfect for couples with individualized settings for each side.

[300] Only at a Sleep Number store or Sleep Number .com.

[301] Sleep Number, official sleep and wellness partner of the NFL.

[302] store for details.

[303] Don Lebertard.

[304] Common thread was Stugats chumming it up with Aaron Rogers.

[305] Yep.

[306] I mean, I met my quarterback.

[307] Yeah, as you know, as you know.

[308] Stugats didn't talk to Aaron Rogers.

[309] Sugatz thought country music superstar Jake Owen was Aaron Rogers.

[310] They had a 20 -minute conversation.

[311] Identical twins.

[312] I mean, Jesus.

[313] Stugats.

[314] Listen, I will never have the relationship with Aaron Rogers that I have with the that I thought was a redress.

[315] I mean, that is the greatest conversation I've ever had with my quarterback.

[316] This is the Dan Levitar show with the Stugats.

[317] So, Chris, we're at the food truck party after the players meeting, Tahoe.

[318] I know you love that.

[319] Anyone sad sitting alone like Brian Kelly was a few years ago?

[320] No, no. Did you see anyone sitting alone, sadly?

[321] No, I think most of the people that don't want to be there, they pop in because they have to make an appearance.

[322] and then they quietly just make their way out.

[323] Yeah.

[324] But there are a couple people there that I was hoping for an interaction with Matthew Kachuk because my wife was there and she would have been excited, but she's pretty chill about that stuff.

[325] She doesn't generally like to approach people.

[326] And so we had a nice, Ms. was really happy to see me. I guess anytime he's around a golfer that's worse than he is, he's pretty happy to see them.

[327] So the Kelsey's were playing the first round with Ms. And I said, hey, enjoy your nine -hour round of golf.

[328] He's improved as a golfer, but he still takes, like, a really long time to play.

[329] Yeah.

[330] But he's a super nice guy.

[331] They're going to be bad.

[332] Be bad fast.

[333] I guess if there was a Brian Kelly at the food truck party, it was me. Boy, you are really inflating your persona.

[334] I was walking around myself.

[335] I felt like Mike and Cynthia wanted nothing to do with me. We didn't.

[336] I felt it.

[337] But here's what happened, Chris.

[338] So after Mike is done with the awkward Burrhalter conversation with Taylor -Twellman, somehow I have mozied over to Aeron and I am talking to Arod and Arod is taking great interest in me and I am loving this conversation we're talking we're talking and then like pause yes talking this was not an actual conversation from human beings this was like Arod blah blah blah blah blah a couple of dudes trying to out phony the other one it would like insincery it up so Arod puts his harm around Stu Gats I fan of what you guys I haven't gotten feedback off of anything I've done greater than I did with at South Beach sessions with Dan.

[339] And like it's just lots of laughs, lots of leaning over, lots of touching the shoulder.

[340] I know swarmy when I see it.

[341] And those dudes were putting on a display.

[342] Yeah, but I'm feeling good because I'm there with nobody.

[343] Okay.

[344] Mike is there with his wife and I feel like I have found my partner.

[345] Okay.

[346] And it's Aeron.

[347] And I'm going to hang with Aeron the entire weekend.

[348] But then Mike Mosey's over with Cynthia.

[349] And it gets really awkward.

[350] Really awkward.

[351] Did you guys plan this?

[352] Before we tell the audience what it is and the guys here and Lucy, what it is that actually happened, did you guys plan this out?

[353] So we saw you talking over there.

[354] This was right at the entrance.

[355] And again, like our plan is to get away from Stugats and enjoy the evening.

[356] I know the move, though.

[357] If you see someone talking to someone cool, though, it's like, oh, let's go stand by Stagat.

[358] Well, you have like, well, Stu Gott's there.

[359] And so we have the easy way.

[360] And so my wife used to be related to A -Rod.

[361] So she said that?

[362] No, no. That's a bad start, yeah.

[363] It'd be fine.

[364] No, I'll tell you how she started it, which is the worst way you can start a conversation ever.

[365] And yeah, I said that Sugats and Arod were a couple of phonies cutting it up.

[366] I actually think Alex is nice.

[367] I understand people.

[368] I love them.

[369] They have their thoughts and feelings.

[370] Like, I don't, if the worst thing that you could say about a guy is that he's nice to me all the time and I don't believe it, who cares?

[371] Like, he's nice.

[372] So Cynthia used to be related to Alex in that her godmother, her first cousin, also named Cynthia.

[373] They look alike.

[374] She was married to Alex.

[375] That was Alex's first wife.

[376] They have two beautiful children together that are a part of our lives.

[377] We love those kids.

[378] So we see them all the time.

[379] So naturally, we have a family tie.

[380] And so Cynthia, if there's any opportunity to say hello, she stayed at Alex's Penn House in New York.

[381] Like, she went to the wedding.

[382] She was a part of the family.

[383] So if there's ever an opportunity, this is the one while he's said.

[384] talking to Sougat's because Sougat's has properly opened this setup.

[385] But how do you say it without making it awkward is the question?

[386] I put my hand on her shoulder.

[387] Sugats had introduced me. Yes.

[388] Hey, this is a producer of our show.

[389] And that's a great vine.

[390] Thank you.

[391] I'm going to set the table for Cynthia.

[392] Cynthia cuts through.

[393] I don't know if she had nervous energy and just goes directly to Alex and says, Hey, do you remember me?

[394] You don't do that.

[395] My weekend with A -Rob was over.

[396] My dad can come up to me and say, hey, do you remember me?

[397] And I might get, like, frozen for a bit.

[398] No, there's no. How do I answer this?

[399] Hey, do you remember me?

[400] He hasn't seen Cynthia outside of, like, a funeral, like, in, like, eight years.

[401] Do you remember me?

[402] I used to be your family.

[403] He had a couple of guesses, I think, that were wrong.

[404] Did he not?

[405] No, he's like, he answered it the way that you should.

[406] It's like, I'm not so sure.

[407] Because even, like, the worst possible thing that you could say is, like, Yeah, and try to take stabs at guessing who the person is.

[408] You could see that there was like something there, but he didn't want to actually like start playing the guessing game.

[409] He's like, good to see you.

[410] It was just.

[411] That move of just like, I'm going to say good to see you.

[412] He should have hit her with prima.

[413] No, and then she goes.

[414] And then she goes, Cynthia Mechris.

[415] And so he's like stunned by the whole thing.

[416] And you could see him like.

[417] Stunned.

[418] Yeah.

[419] You could see him trying to put it together.

[420] Trying to figure it out.

[421] Cynthia mecris.

[422] And then he, his response was Cynthia?

[423] and he put his hand out, like, he first met Cynthia when she was five.

[424] I'm like, Cynthia has not grown.

[425] She was the same height when she met you.

[426] My dad does that with women my age.

[427] She's like, little Tina, it's like Tina's 38 years old.

[428] Same height, though.

[429] He goes, Cynthia?

[430] Like, he met, like, he saw her in grade school or something.

[431] He's like, and then he said, yeah, we used to be, it's weird.

[432] We were kind of related, still kind of are.

[433] But it was, I could not get out of there faster.

[434] It went from me introducing A -Rod to Mike, Mike never having any interaction.

[435] It says Cynthia just stepping in.

[436] Do you know who I am?

[437] You go to the kids first, maybe.

[438] You start saying the names.

[439] It got frosty.

[440] I was trying, but Cynthia trampled me. I don't know.

[441] I still have to, like, talk to her.

[442] Like, what happened there?

[443] Like, what was your...

[444] Wait, you haven't spoken to her yet?

[445] I don't want to relive it.

[446] I figured you spent the entire weekend discussing it.

[447] I am mortified on your behalf.

[448] It was so bad.

[449] That's as bad as it can possibly go in an introduction.

[450] because now his mind is just racing as to how he possibly knows this person.

[451] You guys already know him.

[452] He was on South Beach sessions in his mind like three minutes ago, and now he's trying to figure out who Cynthia is.

[453] I could not get out of there faster, and I, like, had this, like, frozen and fear kind of smile, like, as I turn the corner, and, like, I take a few steps, because now I have to talk to Cynthia about what just happened, but also I have to mansplain, the toxic urge to mansplain what happened.

[454] there as I, as the, through the eyes of a man. And I told Cynthia, like, you can never do that to somebody, especially like a celebrity.

[455] You can't lead with, hey, do you remember me?

[456] You can never do that.

[457] She conceded that that was probably not the best foot to get off on.

[458] Was she upset that it took him a minute?

[459] Like, no, she understood it afterwards.

[460] She's like, when you go with that question, you're expecting the person to know who you are.

[461] I asked her, like, why did you do that?

[462] She's like, I don't know.

[463] I don't know why I did it that way.

[464] very aggressive.

[465] It was a really, and she, like, she said it with some sass, too.

[466] I know.

[467] And look, there's family dynamics at play.

[468] Like, you better know who I am.

[469] Divorce can be ugly, especially when it plays out in the tabloids.

[470] You can understand my wife has her certain feelings about things are, but we've made it work.

[471] And credit to Alex and Big Cynthia, that's what we call her.

[472] Like, they have made it work and they've raised two beautiful children together, beautiful, wonderful, upstanding girls.

[473] We love them.

[474] And it's really not that tense and awkward around the family.

[475] I'm not sure why she made it so tense and awkward in that moment her first time seeing Alex in about eight years.

[476] But yeah, it was really awkward, and I avoided Alex Rodriguez at all costs afterwards.

[477] But thank you for always being nice to me, even if you don't mean it.

[478] Like, I appreciate it.

[479] Again, like the worst thing someone can say about you is that you're nice all the time.

[480] I think that's fine.

[481] Are you guys good with someone being nice to you, saying nice things to you all the time, having no idea whether or not he or she means it?

[482] Are you guys confused by that message coming from Sue Gott's?

[483] I'm just wondering.

[484] He's just checking to know whether or not we're offended by him.

[485] Exactly right, yes.

[486] So you're asking you, if you're upset if somebody only says good things about us or good things to us?

[487] They're always nice to you.

[488] They always say good things to you, but they have the personality of A. Rod, and you're not certain if what they're saying is true.

[489] But they're just being nice, and you'll take it because it's someone being nice to you.

[490] There's no genuine connection there.

[491] Like, it's just, it's all a facade, and I do think that people would get hurt by it.

[508] God doesn't even know what this list is.

[509] He was ahead of Tom Brady, who also won a playoff game.

[510] A couple.

[511] That was literally the most confusing list we've ever done.

[512] But Cibo's got a better shot of coming back.

[513] Give me a chance.

[514] He's got more ladies.

[515] I'm mad.

[516] I'm angry.

[517] I want to leave.

[518] Stugats.

[519] This would have been your day.

[520] This should be.

[521] You should own the sports media landscape right now.

[522] I am.

[523] Top seven guys.

[524] I would not want.

[525] No. No. No. No. I'm not allowing it.

[526] Give a chance, guys.

[527] No. No, I'm not giving him a chance.

[528] I'm giving him a chance.

[529] I'm giving them 20 years.

[530] I've given him my pride.

[531] This is the Dan Levitar show with these two gods.

[532] Jeremy, do you have that social experiment?

[533] He's together?

[534] Yes, I do.

[535] Yeah, all right.

[536] So, let's, this is a great.

[537] Perfect time.

[538] Yeah, this is a perfect time to trot this out.

[539] We, Jeremy is, built out a game.

[540] Yeah, this is going to be called MLB All -Star or Metal Arc Media employee.

[541] So I'm going to read a name, and Stugats, you are going to tell me whether this person is a Metal Arc Media employee or an MLB All -Star.

[542] We're going to start here.

[543] He's already scared.

[544] Does you have to guess the team?

[545] You should have to guess the team.

[546] Yeah, you want to guess the team?

[547] We want to add that as part of it.

[548] You're exposing him on multiple fronts here.

[549] much.

[550] Let's just say you got to tell me if it's a Metal Arc Media employee or an MLB All -Star.

[551] So we'll start here.

[552] Chris Tuminello.

[553] I love to me. Metal -Ark Media employee.

[554] Really?

[555] That sounds like a middle reliever for the Kansas City Royals.

[556] That is a Metal Arc Media employee.

[557] Congratulations, too guys.

[558] I know my employees.

[559] I know what he does?

[560] Oh, come on.

[561] What are you doing?

[562] All right, all right, all right.

[563] Fair enough.

[564] If he does that, he's got a name the team.

[565] He's got a 50 -50 chance.

[566] He's got a 50 -50 shot here.

[567] Alex Nobrega.

[568] Nobrega.

[569] Nobrega.

[570] Alex, no -braga.

[571] Alex.

[572] I know there's an Alex that works here.

[573] I'm going to say Metal Arc employee.

[574] All right.

[575] Two for two.

[576] Wow.

[577] I think he's on a heater.

[578] I think there's something with our sets.

[579] Let's do something.

[580] I don't know.

[581] Maybe.

[582] You know what?

[583] Don't talk anymore.

[584] You got it right.

[585] Just keep it moving.

[586] too.

[587] Tommy Dero.

[588] Ah, Tommy.

[589] Last name?

[590] Dero.

[591] Hmm.

[592] Tommy Daro.

[593] My favorite part about that was the audible O from Chris Cody as a better.

[594] Wasn't expecting the game to be this long.

[595] Too much time to stall.

[596] He's trying to figure it out in his head.

[597] Tommy Dero.

[598] Tommy Daro is a Major League Baseball All -Star.

[599] That is incorrect.

[600] That's not the game.

[601] the loser game show?

[602] That's Thomas.

[603] I've seen your...

[604] Sorry, Tommy D. I've seen your interactions with Thomas Dara.

[605] Oh, he's in this office.

[606] Yeah, he's base out of ear now.

[607] I call him Big Show.

[608] Oh, Tom!

[609] Oh, Tom!

[610] I didn't know his last name was Darrow!

[611] You did.

[612] You did do something there by making a Tommy D. Mason Miller.

[613] Mason Miller.

[614] Mace.

[615] I'm going to say, eventually, there's got be a Major League Baseball All -Star here.

[616] You're just playing a numbers game at this point.

[617] You've given up on actually having human relations with whoever this Mason Miller is.

[618] You're just guessing playing numbers.

[619] Yeah, I am.

[620] Eventually we'll get to one, right?

[621] All -Star.

[622] All -Star.

[623] Thank you.

[624] Mason Miller.

[625] Boom.

[626] O 'Connorne's closer.

[627] I just know him as M. Miller from fantasy.

[628] M. Dot Miller.

[629] Three for four.

[630] That makes you an all -star.

[631] Ethan.

[632] Ethan Bedowski.

[633] Ethan Bedowski works here.

[634] Wow.

[635] Ah, the confidence.

[636] Congratulations, Ethan.

[637] I know he did.

[638] Yes.

[639] Daniel Gonzalez Keverto.

[640] This Darrow is going to sit with me for a bit.

[641] Sorry, Thomas.

[642] Give me the name again.

[643] Daniel Gonzalez Keverto.

[644] DGK?

[645] Yeah, DGK.

[646] Wait, can you say the name again?

[647] Daniel Gonzalez Kever.

[648] Oh, yeah, that's definitely a K. Yeah, DGK.

[649] Stu?

[650] Did you grow up around any Latin?

[651] people.

[652] I did.

[653] Luis Guzma, Michael Gomez.

[654] You got a guess?

[655] I need to hear it again.

[656] Daniel Gonzalez Kvedo.

[657] All -Star.

[658] He's an all -star.

[659] Danny G .K. Yeah, he's an all -star for us.

[660] A metal arc all -star.

[661] Danny G -Q.

[662] And that's it for every right.

[663] Danny, sorry, I love you, dude.

[664] Love you.

[665] I love you.

[666] I love you.

[667] G -K.

[668] I've never heard your last name, your middle name.

[669] the name was.

[670] I never heard it.

[671] But you were great at your job.

[672] Thank you for all the work that you do.

[673] Yep.

[674] Appreciate you.

[675] Patrick Kim.

[676] Pat Kim.

[677] Patty Kim.

[678] Like, you're just going through the variations of the name to see if you have any recollection saying it in an awkward interaction.

[679] Yes.

[680] Patty Kim.

[681] All stuck.

[682] Nope.

[683] I don't think Chris Cody knows who Pat Kim is.

[684] There's been a couple the Chris has turned around and be like, hey, what's the answer so I know what sound to play.

[685] There's a New York office.

[686] It's a little unfair.

[687] It does make it unfair.

[688] And Sucats has been on vacation for three months.

[689] Well, this one should be easy for you.

[690] This one should be easy.

[691] Jordan Westberg.

[692] Jordan Westberg.

[693] Can you use it in a sentence?

[694] Please.

[695] Stugats does not know who Jordan Westberg is.

[696] All -Star.

[697] All -Star.

[698] It was just numbers at that point.

[699] My dude was trying to survive.

[700] He's guessed All -Star like six times in a row.

[701] Yeah.

[702] He was at the Hard Rock Stadium Gates just trying to go.

[703] Last one for you.

[704] Mike Malley.

[705] Employee.

[706] All right, Stu Gads.

[707] Love Mike Malley.

[708] Only three wrong out of the eight names that we said.

[709] He did pretty well.

[710] Better than anticipated.

[711] He did way better than I thought he was.

[712] If you just said Danny without the KG part of it, I would have been like employee.

[713] KG.

[714] There's a lot of Danny's here.

[715] I just would have said employee.

[716] Danny GQ is now Danny KG.

[717] I love it.

[718] Well, congratulations, Steve.

[719] Thank you.

[720] Good job.

[721] It's a, it's a Loll star week, right?

[722] Yeah, right now.

[723] Home run derby tonight.

[724] They're still doing that.

[725] What's a format this here?

[726] I'm tired of that.

[727] It's changed again.

[728] You won't know until you log on to the broadcast because they're constantly changing the rules.

[729] But there are three players from the NL East in this year's home run derby.

[730] Well, there you go, if you're looking for a draw.

[731] Marlins fans, get real excited.

[732] What, Peter Alonza?

[733] Peter Alonzo's wonderful.

[734] I'm tired of him the pole a bit.

[735] I know the guy would rather win the home run derby than win a World Series.

[736] I'm telling you, that's what he's known for.

[737] You do kind of live forever.

[738] Josh Hamilton was a really great player in his day, and everyone, the first thing that they'll mention to him is probably that home run derby at Yankee Sadie.

[739] It was electric, and he didn't even win.

[740] I was at that.

[741] I was at that one randomly.

[742] That's a great event.

[743] What are you kidding me?

[744] That is a hell of a cocktail hour over.

[745] And then the next night I went to the game, the All -Star game, sat in the outfield right behind Rob Parker.

[746] Really?

[747] Fun fact.

[748] The Rob Parker, because this was like at the peak of like him on.

[749] Like, whatever, first take.

[750] It might have been first in 10.

[751] I was like, holy shit, Rob Parker's right front of me. Yeah, there was a lot of great moments.

[752] To your point, there was a lot of great players that had great moments in that game that it still somehow outsized their career.

[753] Like, anybody, if you get to the show and have a career like Bobby a bray you, which is like a great career.

[754] I literally just said that name back here.

[755] His home run derby was spectacular.

[756] He had an incredible career.

[757] And the second half of his season was a nightmare.

[758] Dude, his career might have ended that night, for all I know.

[759] He had a great home run derby, and I know his production took a shit after that, and next thing you know, Bobby Bray, he wasn't around anymore.

[760] Were you shocked to learn that Josh Hamilton did not win that home run derby?

[761] Because I felt like he won it.

[762] Wait, he didn't win.

[763] I was there.

[764] He didn't win.

[765] He didn't win it, but he did win.

[766] He was the rare guy who didn't win, but he won.

[767] Yeah, exactly, based off the PR of it.

[768] But I think what it was is that was why they started changing the rules, because he had such an unbelievable round, but then was exhausted by the end of it, and so he ended up losing the home run derby.

[769] I'll look up and figure out who it was.

[770] So what are the rules now?

[771] Genuinely, I don't know the answer to what you're asking.

[772] That was 08.

[773] And then Hamilton said that whole bunch of nonsense afterward, a dream about the home run derby at Yankee Stadium.

[774] Justin Mornow beat him.

[775] It was Justin Mourne.

[776] MVP, yeah, one of the more forgettable MVP's out there.

[777] He beat him 5 '3 in the final.

[778] Oh, please.

[779] Hey, do you have that, only because you alluded to it, do you have that clip of Nick Jonas on with us?

[780] I have the Nick Jonas one.

[781] He wasn't on with us.

[782] This is me, Mike, and Stugats at the desk near the range in Tahoe.

[783] And we were right near the medical tent where they would get work done.

[784] So Nick Jonas, oh, we actually have it on video that we can play here in a second.

[785] That's good.

[786] He's walking by the medical tent on his way to get some treat.

[787] You can see in this clip behind us is that trailer where the medical tent is.

[788] So Nick Jonas walking by us, and this is our moment to have our moment with Nick Jonas.

[789] And let's see if Mike screws it up.

[790] Hey, what's up, Nick?

[791] Good luck today.

[792] That shot on 18.

[793] My God, no. You made weird.

[794] That time you embarrassed this week.

[795] Yeah, I did.

[796] He literally looked through you right there, like, what?

[797] It's so good.

[798] I have not worn that shirt since, in large part, because I probably can't fit in it anymore.

[799] But I got really drunk that day.

[800] Like that's the...

[801] You were hammered.

[802] I don't think I've been...

[803] Were you hammered there?

[804] No. But I...

[805] There's a clip of me slurring, and I'm pretty sure it's that day.

[806] I had no idea how strong the big celebrity...

[807] The signature cocktail at Lake Tao.

[808] It was like a strawberry lemonade.

[809] It was just a Wadala that you stumbled on.

[810] Yeah, it was like...

[811] It's called the big celebrity crush.

[812] It's like a $23 drink.

[813] Thing goes down like water.

[814] It's incredible.

[815] And I had no idea how strong those things were.

[816] And so I decided this is a great time out here with Lewis.

[817] Let me have seven of them.

[818] of these.

[819] And I started slurring and I, I just so associate that polo with that shame and how drunk I was that I'm never wearing it again.

[820] I see it every now and then.

[821] I'm like, can I fit in this shirt?

[822] Can I fit in this shirt?

[823] Oh, God, that's the shirt that I was like super drunk in a towel.

[824] Can't wear that shirt?

[825] Yeah, let me know when you have like me slurring.

[826] Whenever we find that we could play it, but I do have the rules here of home run derby if you want it.

[827] Well, it was much, no, they're getting on you, Jeremy.

[828] It was a lot better than the silence.

[829] Yeah, I was trying to just feel the silence.

[830] I'm just going to sit there.

[831] I appreciate that.

[832] Let me know what comes up.

[833] Do you guys feel bad for Mornow?

[834] Because he won the home run derby.

[835] Yet no one thinks that he did.

[836] No one comes up to him.

[837] I feel terrible for him.

[838] Pornow.

[839] I'm going to do.

[840] Porno?

[841] Justin Pornow.

[842] Wait, that's a different guy.

[843] Totally.

[844] He was taking porn hacks at day, but it was a totally different meaning.

[845] But the guy won, and the only thing anyone remembers from that home run derby is Josh Hamilton.

[846] So nothing comes up when you search Mike Slur.

[847] Mike drunk.

[848] I'll type in Slur.

[849] I was doing drunk.

[850] Mike.

[851] I'll avoid that one now.

[852] Yeah.

[853] Well, let me know if something pops up that isn't me actually slurring over my words so we can promptly purge the system of that.

[854] It was wild making content in 2007.

[855] It was.

[856] I'm sad to hear, though, that you're over Tahoe because I mean, in terms of like the jaw -dropping beauty, I did do something that was fairly touristy dude and it was a sunset cruise.

[857] Oh, yeah?

[858] Was it nice?

[859] I thought I was going to hate it because it's a very touristy thing to do, but I literally did it just to get my dad off my back.

[860] My dad went to Tahoe once and he became the expert on Lake Tahoe, even though he was following all of my wrecks.

[861] The one thing that he did on his own, because my dad is a lone wolf, bachelor.

[862] He's lived his entire life basically by himself.

[863] And he did a sunset cruise by himself and he said it was amazing.

[864] I'm like, number one, that's really weird.

[865] And too, I don't want to do this, but I literally did it to shut him up.

[866] And it was incredible.

[867] Do the sunset cruise in Lake Tahoe.

[868] And so you can really see.

[869] the enormity of the place because it is gorgeous.

[870] I enjoy alone time.

[871] I mean, I don't mind traveling by myself.

[872] I don't mind going to concerts by myself.

[873] I don't like golfing by myself.

[874] In fact, in some instances, I prefer.

[875] I mean, I don't want to have a conversation.

[876] I'll push back on golfing.

[877] I don't like golfing alone.

[878] Everything else, I'm kind of with you on traveling.

[879] I mean, I think it would run its course at some point.

[880] Like, it's cool for a few days.

[881] So Cynthia and I saw Sugatz by himself.

[882] Again, it's not a lie.

[883] I was having a blast.

[884] I was trying to avoid Stugats.

[885] I was saying at the same hotel at Sougat's was, Cindy and I were having breakfast, and we literally put our menus in front of our faces as Stugats, like, was very clearly going on a cigarette break.

[886] Oh, yeah.

[887] And they have, like, a designated, it's kind of sad.

[888] They have an area outside where people can smoke their cigarettes.

[889] And it's just like these four chairs that are all facing one another.

[890] Right in front of my room.

[891] It's like, hey, right in front of my room.

[892] They knew you were coming.

[893] It's like a cigarette cipher.

[894] No, there's people smoking right in front of my room.

[895] I open up the window, because the window opens all the way up.

[896] I'm like, hey, you're smoking on my yard.

[897] And weed's legal there.

[898] People smoking everywhere, isn't there?

[899] Well, you can have forest fires.

[900] Like, so they're very - Oh, yeah, I've only smoked in the smoking air.

[901] They're very cognizant of this fact, and they try to have it all isolated.

[902] So you have just like a really sad cipher of seats.

[903] They're all kind of like...

[904] Just look at each other and smoke?

[905] White's a terrible color for a chair that's outside regardless.

[906] but you also have it being stained with tobacco.

[907] It's not white anymore.

[908] Cigarette smoking areas are never like the happiest places on earth.

[909] They're generally about that.

[910] I will say like in terms of like a vista, this is one of the more beautiful cigarette smoking areas, but it's still sad because it seems like second class citizens, like go over there on this wobbly chair that will never stay flat.

[911] It's not on flat ground anyways and it's been warped by the asses that have sat in it.

[912] It's right in front of my room.

[913] I mean, these people aren't staying at the hotel.

[914] My smoking section.

[915] They're locals coming by having to smoke right in front of my room.

[916] My smoking section was right by the 10th green.

[917] Or no, is it the 9th green?

[918] What is it that?

[919] The porta -potties?

[920] Is it near the port -a -potties?

[921] I don't know what – you know what – I haven't been there in a couple years.

[922] I don't remember what hole specifically.

[923] So let's forget I said anything.

[924] Back to you guys.

[925] Have you found me with all of it yet or no?

[926] Nothing came up with the Mike Slur search?

[927] Well, I'm actually pretty pumped about it.

[928] Do you want those home -run derby rules?

[929] I do want those home -run derby rules.

[930] They're very bizarre.

[931] are.

[932] The first round is either.

[933] Wait, can someone pull up, like, the favorites on Draft King's Sportsbook, too?

[934] And, like, is there the whole time.

[935] Pete Alonzo is the favorite, I believe.

[936] Well, he cares about it.

[937] It was there the whole time.

[938] There's a lot of paperwork that you got to do to get a super follow What do?

[939] What do you mean?

[940] Paperwork?

[941] I'm super following.

[942] There's procedural shit that you got to take care of.

[943] Do you know the last four digits of your social security?

[944] You don't sound bad at all right.

[946] Jesus Christ.

[947] You want to redo that.

[950] What was the year I got to JT?

[951] What year was that?

[952] I think that was all the same year.

[953] We crushed it that year.

[954] We did that that and then the next year you did the Aaron Rogers thing.

[955] So it's been.

[956] Yeah.

[957] And the first year you got hit by Ray Bermano.

[958] And the first year I got hit by Ray Romano.

[959] That's crazy.

[960] I saw him hitting on 17th T yesterday and I was just like, or Sunday.

[961] Yeah, it was yesterday.

[962] And I was just like, man. Memories of Saigon.

[963] He hit me there.

[964] You hear the chopper sound in the back.
