[2] President Biden addressed the nation this morning, assuring the public that the banking system is safe.
[3] He also insisted that there will be no taxpayer bailout of financial institutions.
[4] Americans can have confidence that the banking system is safe.
[5] Your deposits will be there when you need them.
[6] Small businesses across the country, the deposit accounts, These banks can breathe easier knowing they'll be able to pay their workers and pay their bills.
[7] His remarks come after the 16th largest bank in America, Silicon Valley Bank, failed following the announcement of heavy losses from the liquidation of a $21 billion bond portfolio.
[8] Federal officials have attempted to auction the bank and announced Sunday that they will ensure that those with deposits in the bank will be able to get all of their money out.
[9] The Biden administration also approved a new oil drilling project in Alaska, angering his environmental supporters.

[11] The Biden administration stunned its climate change conscious supporters on Monday as it formally approved the $8 billion willow oil field in Alaska.
[12] The project will be on federal land and could pump 180 ,000 barrels of oil per day once it is completed, which could take years after likely legal challenges.
[13] The administration has typically shunned oil and gas.
[14] The president's climate czar John Kerry and other key Biden officials have repeatedly stress the need to reduce fossil fuels.
[15] While running for president, Biden promised that he would not approve any new oil leases on federal property.
[16] The vicar of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, blasted radical gender ideology in a recent interview.

[18] In an Argentinian newspaper interview, Pope Francis referred to radical gender ideology as, quote, one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations in current public discourse.
[19] The Pope said the ideology is dangerous because, quote, all he says, humanity is the tension of differences, it is to grow through the tension of differences.
[20] He added, quote, the question of gender is diluting the differences and making the world the same.
[21] All dull, all like, and that is contrary to the human vocation.
[22] Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer admitted that her lockdown policies during the COVID pandemic might have been too heavy -handed.
[23] Here she is talking with CNN's Chris Wallace over the weekend about her executive order prohibiting in -store purchases of items such as gardening supplies.
[24] You know, there were moments where we, you know, had to make some decisions that in retrospects don't make a lot of sense, right?
[25] If you went into the hardware store, you could go to the hardware store, but we didn't want people, you know, all congregating around the gardening supplies.
[26] People said, oh, she's outlawed seeds.
[27] It was February in Michigan.
[28] No one was planting anyway.
[29] But that being said, you know, some of those policies, I look back and think, you know, that what maybe was was a little more than we need.
[30] in the UK, thousands of junior doctors went on strike today demanding better pay and a strike that is scheduled to last three days.
[31] According to the British Medical Association, pay for junior doctors is down 26 % in real terms since 2008, despite record patient loads.
[32] The union reports that new medics earn approximately $17 an hour.
[33] We're just asking for that pay to be restored, and that looks like something like £19 an hour, which, in my opinion, is extremely reasonable.
[34] And everything everywhere all at once, won big at the Oscars last night, picking up seven awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Michelle Yeo.
[35] Yo, who is 60 years old, is the first Asian actress to win the coveted award.
[36] This is proof that dreams dream big, and dreams do come true.
[37] And ladies, don't let anybody tell you are ever past your prime.
