NFL: Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah & Bucky Brooks XX
[0] Hey, it's Bobby Bones.
[1] Join me and former NFL quarterback Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle.
[2] Between us, we have over 17 ,500 passing yards, multiple New York Times bestsellers, and one mirrorball trophy from Dancing with the Stars.
[3] So where else are you going to find a show with that much athleticism and football insight?
[4] We talk sports, but we talk pop culture and music and a little bit of everything.
[5] Listen to Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
[6] And now, Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
[7] What's up, everybody?
[8] Welcome back.
[9] Move the Sticks.
[10] DJ Rhett with you.
[11] Bucky has got some Super Bowl programming duties, so he'll be back later in the week.
[12] Rhett, travel safe.
[13] Nice to be home.
[14] Yeah, it was.
[15] It was good to be home.
[16] Felt like it was a long week on the road in Mobile, but a productive week, one in which I know we're going to dig into here after.
[17] one of the craziest all -star games I think I've ever been a part of.
[18] I'm sure that registers for you as well.
[19] Yeah, it was a...
[20] Fantastic finish to the Reese's Senior Bowl, the 25 edition.
[21] So we'll break down some of the top guys we saw, not only in the game, but during the week.
[22] We had a couple podcasts during the week, which gave you some insight in what we were seeing.
[23] But we'll give you kind of final thoughts there.
[24] We'll do that in just a little bit.
[25] We'll also give you some Super Bowl thoughts as well.
[26] It's early in the week.
[27] We've got plenty of time to build that one up, but we'll give you some early thoughts there.
[28] But right now it's time for the lead block presented by T -Mobile for Business.
[29] Football needs a network willing to go the extra yard.
[30] you go further with t -mobile for business didn't have this one on the bingo card as our a block uh topic today on the pod but here we go miles garrett wants to get the heck out of cleveland yeah and and look i mean he's been there and 102 career sacks and a cleveland browns uniform and what felt like was a build -up towards maximizing his prime right when they go out and spend all the first round draft picks to get to sean watson obviously did not work, has not worked, probably will not work.
[31] And so you're sitting here three, what, three years into that, that whole situation, you haven't been able to build the roster the way you want without those picks.
[32] And yet you haven't gotten the return.
[33] And I'm, if I'm miles Garrett, I'm sitting here and I'm like, I got a finite amount.
[34] There is a somewhere, somehow there is a number of sacks that I have left.
[35] And I've 102 of them.
[36] I've already gone down.
[37] Maybe there's 35 to 45, 50 more, who knows, but.
[38] I want to make them count.
[39] And I understand this because teams picking second in the draft, obviously because they were bad last year.
[40] Is there, does it feel like this is going to be a quick rebuild in Cleveland?
[41] I don't know, but it sounds like miles feels like he's done enough to warrant an opportunity to go chase a ring somewhere else.
[42] So I don't think.
[43] Maybe I'm wrong.
[44] Maybe there's some sophistication here in this thought process on the Browns fans side of things.
[45] But I actually look at this and say, Myles Garrett just gave you a huge gift.
[46] He just gave you cover.
[47] You came out publicly and said you were not trading him.
[48] You came out and said, we're committed to winning.
[49] This is a Hall of Fame player.
[50] We're not going to let him leave the organization.
[51] So if you hadn't done that.
[52] And then you just came out and traded Miles Garrett.
[53] There'd be a faction of people where they'd be like, gosh, how did we do this?
[54] I mean, we, at least we have our Joe Thomas's, you know, where we can have our hall of famers and have our lovable players, even though we might not be winning.
[55] We are attached to these guys and that's kind of their identity where there might've been some criticism.
[56] Now there's no criticism.
[57] Like if they trade him, it's like, Hey, what do you want to do?
[58] The guy didn't want to be there.
[59] He wasn't going to play.
[60] You wouldn't want to be there.
[61] So now you've got cover.
[62] And to be honest with you.
[63] I'm not going to use the T word.
[64] I'm not going to say that.
[65] But I will say this is the perfect time to take all your medicine, reset.
[66] You've got the Deshaun Watson thing.
[67] He's not going to play this year.
[68] That next year maybe it gets a little more palatable where you can try and figure out a way that at least you're moving on.
[69] I think he started his last game there, whether he's still on the roster, down the line, what have you.
[70] This is what I would be using this opportunity to do, Red.
[71] I'm trading Miles Garrett, and I am getting as many assets as I can in the next two drafts.
[72] 26 and beyond.
[73] 26 and 27.
[74] Those two drafts.
[75] I am loading up with assets there.
[76] I am then going to take where I'm selecting in this current draft, and I'm going to say, let it be known to everyone that we are up for sale.
[77] I'm trading back to get even more assets in 26 and 27.
[78] Now, see if you can.
[79] answer this little riddle here.
[80] Owner of the Cleveland Browns has ties to what state?
[81] Pennsylvania?
[82] No, the owner of the Cleveland Browns, Jimmy Haslam, has a great relationship with what Hall of Fame quarterback?
[83] Peyton Manning.
[84] Peyton Manning has a nephew.
[85] that's uh that's everybody's fully expecting to take the college world by storm i i'd be surprised if it's in 26 but uh but for sure and you know you are your relationship and credentials with that family far uh exceed mine but i was told by people that this is not This is a different era that Peyton and Eli loved college because it was a college experience and you had the same teammates.
[86] You came in together.
[87] We're going to win together.
[88] We're going to go out together.
[89] This is professional football at the college level now.
[90] So if you're already playing professional football, you're already getting compensated.
[91] You've got teammates coming and going.
[92] Well, then there's a case of maybe we just go ahead and start this thing after next year.
[93] But that's why I'm also baking in 26 and 27.
[94] You're going to get.
[95] A lot of resources for Miles Garrett.
[96] So you could hedge your bet a little bit and just say, hey, for the next two years, we're going to try and build the foundation for our quarterback, wherever that quarterback might be in the future.
[97] And I'm not putting all my eggs just in that basket.
[98] There's some other exciting quarterbacks coming down the pipeline here in college football over the next few years.
[99] And I won't mention them by name because I'll get in trouble for doing that.
[100] But there's more than one.
[101] So that's my thought process on it.
[102] If I'm Cleveland, I'm saying, okay, this is a time for us to reset.
[103] Let's regroup and let's think about the future here.
[104] Yeah, and look, I think that makes the number two pick this year really intriguing.
[105] And as you're talking about, can you package it to get out?
[106] But who's going to be fighting to get up there?
[107] If the quarterback goes, if Abdul Carter's there because Cam Ward or whoever goes number one and Abdul Carter's there at number two, I do think there's value in market for that pick.
[108] I think there's also value to take that pick and to make that pick, especially if we've already moved on from our cornerstone edge rusher, man, to just go bang, bang, we got the next guy we feel like to build around.
[109] So let me play the other side of that.
[110] That would give them what?
[111] An elite rusher, right?
[112] They have an elite rusher right now and they stink.
[113] So that's the problem is the elephant in the room is that they've got to find the quarterback.
[114] And I don't think that that's the right.
[115] fit for them in this current group of quarterbacks.
[116] Yeah, I think I would agree.
[117] I would agree.
[118] And we're not even sure where the Titans are going at number one, right?
[119] I mean, at this point.
[120] I mean, look, I think Abdul Carter's the best player on draft.
[121] They take Abdul Carter, I'll praise him for it.
[122] And then you use the savings from Myles Garrett's contract in the future to be able to help yourself.
[123] But I'm just saying, if our ultimate goal is to get a franchise, big -time, elite -level quarterback via the draft, then the move is to try and collect as many resources as you can to help that dream come a reality in the future.
[124] Yeah.
[125] I mean, I, I, I certainly get the logic on that front for sure.
[126] And I just, I think it paints a picture though, that where we are in the draft process right now, there's a lot of uncertainty and maybe the only certainty is that, you know, at two, you're not going to feel super comfortable taking maybe the first quarterback off the board, but the second quarterback for sure, if that's the case, if there's a QB that goes one, taking QB two at number two might feel a little rich in this year's draft based off where we're at right now in the process.
[127] Yeah, no, I posted this earlier today about just the word fit.
[128] The word fit probably should be used more this year than any other year in terms of...
[129] These quarterbacks are not universal talents where you drop them into any of the 32 buildings and they work.
[130] They are a very specific set of skills.
[131] I had this conversation with a league executive about Dylan Gabriel this last week.
[132] And we were just talking about saying, look, I know he's not big, but he said with the way he plays, you pop him in as Tua's backup.
[133] I think that's a home run right there.
[134] If he goes to Miami, he can do all the stuff Tua can do.
[135] He's just a little bit smaller version.
[136] you know, he goes to the Raiders.
[137] If he were to go to, you know, team in the NFC South where you're playing in domes, like he just, he fits certain stadiums, certain offenses, certain environments, not for everybody.
[138] And I don't know how high you're going to take him, you know, whether that's, you know, most teams have him more kind of in the third, fourth round range, but there's places where Dylan Gabriel works is, is what I'm getting at.
[139] Yeah.
[140] That's just an example.
[141] And yeah.
[142] And we're going to find, you know, the best opportunities, you know, for Jackson dart.
[143] And Jalen Milrow.
[144] And even up at the top with Cam Ward and Inchador Sanders.
[145] And we'll weigh those fits.
[146] And that's part of the fun of the next couple of months as we get closer to Green Bay.
[147] Yeah, no, it's going to be an interesting discussion as we go forward.
[148] But Myles Garrett and then Cleveland has since doubled down, which has not surprised me and said, nope, we're not taking calls.
[149] But this is the beginning.
[150] This is the start of a process that I believe eventually is going to lead to his exodus from the organization.
[151] Yeah.
[152] And they have to put up a good front that this is not something they want to do.
[153] It's something they're going to reluctantly do.
[154] But just my opinion, I think this ends up eventually happening.
[155] First blush, we're talking about two first -round picks.
[156] Are we talking about two first round picks and then probably some pick swaps beyond?
[157] Yeah, I think if it's two first round picks, I would say that's plenty and that's enough.
[158] That's it.
[159] Two first round picks, that's the deal.
[160] Or you can say, hey, we want a one and then two twos and maybe something else.
[161] It's just however you want to construct it.
[162] But I can't imagine it's two ones plus.
[163] I can't see that.
[164] I would think two ones would be good.
[165] The first, by the way.
[166] What's the first team you thought of when you saw this?
[167] The first team, like as a landing spot.
[168] It came to mind that like the first, the first Andrew Barry's, the first phone call he got after that post was from what team?
[169] What was the first team that popped into your mind?
[170] The Eagles.
[171] That's fair.
[172] I mean, just because of the resources that they've spent up at the front.
[173] Because I wasn't even thinking about it.
[174] It was just elite player available.
[175] You heard multiple first -round picks.
[176] My first thought was, oh, less need.
[177] And then my second thought was, oh, crap, they already got a great young defensive line.
[178] One of the teams that doesn't really need him.
[179] That's what I was thinking.
[180] I was like, oh, man, I don't.
[181] I don't feel like it.
[182] I think the bills is one, the bills will be one to watch too, you know, depending on what happens with Von Miller, you know, moving on after this year, if that's the case, there's certainly a team that feels ready to go and could use a player like that.
[183] Yeah, and I know everybody's throwing out a bunch of different teams, but I got to believe he said it in his statement.
[184] He wants to win.
[185] So if you're a team that's like, hey, we're picking in the top 10, but we could use Myles Garrett.
[186] I bet you could, but I don't think he wants to go there.
[187] I don't think he'd be interested in doing an extension there.
[188] So it's really not that many teams when you get down to it, but I think somebody will pay a steep price.
[189] All right, well, there you go.
[190] That's a wrap for the lead block presented by T -Mobile for Business.
[191] Football needs a network willing to go the extra yard.
[192] So do you.
[193] Go further with T -Mobile for Business.
[194] All right, Rhett, let's take a quick break.
[195] We come back.
[196] We will jump into what we saw from the Senior Bowl as well as a quick little snippet, a little preview here of the Super Bowl right after this.
[197] Hey, it's Bobby Bones.
[198] Join me and former NFL quarterback Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle.
[199] Between us, we have over 17 ,500 passing yards, multiple New York Times bestsellers, and one mirrorball trophy from Dancing with the Stars.
[200] So where else are you going to find a show with that much athleticism and football insight?
[201] Based in Nashville, we're more than just your basic NFL show.
[202] We talk sports, but we talk pop culture and music and a little bit of everything because we got lots to say.
[203] I texted you and you texted me back.
[204] Now, I don't know if you have the update, but like all the little thumbs up and heart and stuff, like it's all colored.
[205] They changed it.
[206] And the heart's a little pink.
[207] It felt like I told you I loved you.
[208] I'm going to be honest.
[209] It was a little pink.
[210] There was something sentimental when you send it.
[211] It was like, do I send the heart now?
[212] I don't like the color edition.
[213] It's extremely pink.
[214] Listen to Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Cappell.
[215] on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
[216] All right, let's get to the Senior Bowl.
[217] The game, the finish.
[218] I'll let you start there.
[219] By the way, this was your first year.
[220] Yeah.
[221] First year calling the senior bowl.
[222] You've done all -star games forever.
[223] You've done a bunch of them, but this is your first year doing this one.
[224] And I just told you afterwards, they're not all like this.
[225] Okay.
[226] Don't get, don't get used to this.
[227] You know, you did a great job all week long.
[228] It was great having you there.
[229] You know, we miss our buddy, Andrew Siciliano.
[230] Yeah.
[231] Wonderful job on this game as a total pro.
[232] But it was, but it was, it was fun to be with you and you absolutely crushed it.
[233] Knocked it out of the park.
[234] And that ending.
[235] Dude, I don't know how many games you could go on to call 1 ,000, 5 ,000 games the rest of your life.
[236] That was pretty darn cool, man. I don't know if you have any more cooler moments than that one.
[237] It was just, you know, it truly felt like a meant -to -be type of moment, you know, like one of those destiny type of moments.
[238] And I know that sounds crazy thinking about an all -star game where no one really cares about the outcome.
[239] But in this one, it's a fourth down, seven seconds left.
[240] Jack Besch, who's...
[241] Brother Tiger, if you don't know the story by now, played at Princeton and was one of the victims of the terrorist attack in New Orleans, literally like a month to the day.
[242] So Tiger was wearing number seven when he played at Princeton.
[243] Jack wore number seven.
[244] Everybody wore seven on their helmets.
[245] Seven seconds left.
[246] Number seven catches the game winner from Memphis Tiger quarterback, Seth Hennigan.
[247] You can't script it.
[248] You couldn't script anything like that.
[249] I wish I would have realized.
[250] I did not realize that the seven seconds didn't hit me as that was happening.
[251] And then the rest of the time ran off the clock and it was a walk -off winner.
[252] And I mean, the pictures that we had of the emotions with his parents after the game, that'll be burned in my brain for a long time.
[253] Yeah, it was it was quite a sight to behold.
[254] And what a great moment after such a tragedy to at least have a, you know, a moment there or you could exhale.
[255] And it was powerful.
[256] I mean, I just we just kind of sat up there in the booth, kind of fighting back tears watching this.
[257] And then, you know, our colleague and buddy Tom Pellicero did a fantastic interview after it was over.
[258] But we got a chance to we ran into Seth Hennigan's family on the way out of the stadium.
[259] And I. I hadn't realized, I don't know if you had at the time, but when they, that's when I heard for the first time, the Memphis tiger.
[260] Yeah.
[261] And I was like, Oh my gosh, I didn't even, there's so many different layers of this thing.
[262] We were walking out.
[263] We hear seven seconds.
[264] We're walking out.
[265] We hear tiger.
[266] I'm like, guys, Holy smokes.
[267] Yeah.
[268] It was crazy.
[269] And he was awesome.
[270] By the way, he was the, Jack was the MVP.
[271] And like, even if he hadn't caught that touchdown, he might've been the MVP.
[272] It was fantastic.
[273] That was a great week.
[274] Other takeaways here.
[275] A few that you might have.
[276] Savion Jones saved a little gas for game day.
[277] Yes.
[278] I was just typing in my notes on him because I had watched him during the week.
[279] He's made these guys down as I can before him, but some of them I'm still finishing up.
[280] So I watched him, and then I wrote my notes, and then I just wrote, like, senior bowl game, exclamation point, exclamation point, exclamation point.
[281] He was unblockable, man. Yeah, he was unblockable.
[282] Landon Jackson was incredible during the game.
[283] I thought he had some moments where he would want to kind of smooth out a little bit and sharpen up during the practice week, and he did.
[284] And I thought he was excellent in the game.
[285] Those two guys stood out to me in the game.
[286] Although Femi Oladejo had a couple of sacks in the game, thought he was just.
[287] absolutely charged up coming off the edge.
[288] I think we got to give Isaac Tesla a little bit of credit too, like Jack Bash made some big time catches in the game.
[289] And I thought really, you know, outside of Milrose past game production, which was kind of minimal, I thought all the quarterbacks kind of quitted themselves pretty well.
[290] Yeah, they did a nice job.
[291] Tyler Shuck made some nice throws.
[292] Dylan Gabriel was not in there for a long time.
[293] He operated well, though.
[294] Ellersma made some nice throws out of Canada.
[295] Nice little deep ball over the top.
[296] Riley Leonard, you know, who's gotten real comfortable in that kind of three -quarter arm slot.
[297] That arm angle, man, yeah.
[298] He was locked in, was solid.
[299] Jackson Dart used his legs a little bit.
[300] But Hannigan was crazy efficient.
[301] He was like, what, 11 for 12 or something like that.
[302] And like so many of them came on that, you know, in a situational drive where you're trying to mount a comeback with under two minutes to play.
[303] And there was some game management stuff kind of going back and forth there.
[304] But they figured out a way to get it done.
[305] I thought Caleb Ransaw really showed up in the game, had a big interception.
[306] I think he had one of the forced fumbles too, if I'm not mistaken.
[307] A couple of turnovers there.
[308] And look, that whole group, I think Jack Kaiser was playing safety at the end of the game.
[309] Yeah, I know.
[310] I'm anxious.
[311] I haven't got a chance to go back and watch the game, watch the tape of the game.
[312] But I missed that during the game.
[313] Afterwards, he was playing safeties.
[314] I'm looking forward to seeing that.
[315] How about the versatility and the willingness for him to step back there and do that?
[316] Aeneas Peebles made some plays with his quickness.
[317] Baron Sorrell capped off a really solid week.
[318] He's an impressive player coming off the edge.
[319] And I'll be honest with you, the one who...
[320] He was just outside my top 50.
[321] Actually, the two names just outside my top 50 that I had in, and then as you're watching more guys, they just missed.
[322] And I'm like, okay, well, they got a very good shot of going back in.
[323] Landon Jackson was freaking awesome from Arkansas coming off the edge.
[324] 6 '5", 270 -plus pounds.
[325] They couldn't block him.
[326] I mean, they had no answer for him off the edge.
[327] That's one.
[328] And then Jayden Higgins from Iowa State.
[329] who's a big physical receiver.
[330] We got so many of these little guys, you know, that you're watching.
[331] And I'm like, okay, this is a power forward who made some plays in the game and had a really solid week.
[332] I think he's going to go in the second round.
[333] Yeah, I thought he was excellent.
[334] I wanted to see a little bit more in the one -on -one settings that we didn't get a chance to really with him.
[335] But then he really turned it on, you know, and I think kind of showcased, you know, a little bit of his mentality, which is a little bit of that kind of bull in a China shop, you know, a little bit of that Jared verse kind of like, like speed, like versatility, like played with an edge, played with a mean streak, you know, relentless effort.
[336] Like a lot of that stuff really showed up to me on Jackson in the game.
[337] Yeah, they never really got Kyle Williams going, who had a great week of practice.
[338] He was here from Washington State.
[339] But anyway, he helped himself overall in the game.
[340] I would say another one, Marcus Bowe from Purdue, who in some one -on -ones had some issues with some power and some strength issues.
[341] But, man, I see this every year.
[342] There's always one or two of these guys who struggle a little bit in the one -on -ones.
[343] But guess what?
[344] The game's 11 -on -11.
[345] And when you watch him in the team periods, he's solid in the game.
[346] And I'll go back and watch it.
[347] But, man, I thought he played a clean game.
[348] So I think he's another one who definitely helped himself with what he showed there in the game.
[349] All right, let's switch gears here, Rhett.
[350] It's time for winning combination presented by Reese's Chocolate Lava Big Cup.
[351] We're going to jump in, by the way, on the heels of the Reese's Senior Bowl.
[352] It's a very seamless transition.
[353] Let's get to some early Super Bowl thoughts here.
[354] What are you thinking?
[355] It's early in the week as we're recording this Monday morning.
[356] Players just got there yesterday.
[357] But, man, I'm...
[358] I'm starting to, I know people, a lot of people didn't want this matchup.
[359] I'm kind of, I'm pumped for this matchup.
[360] I'm looking forward to it.
[361] It's really, you know, it's.
[362] It's blue chip talent in the trenches.
[363] And I think that's, that's something that we, you know, we talked about this being a meat and potatoes draft, right?
[364] That's what you said at the, at the, you know, during the senior bowl.
[365] And I think, you know, this is, if you love that, this is going to be a game for you too.
[366] Cause here we go.
[367] Like how, you know, what's the health of the Eagles interior offensive line with Dickerson and with, with beef jerky.
[368] And, you know, can they figure out a way to deal with Chris Jones on a consistent basis enough to allow Saquon Barkley to do what he's done all year long.
[369] And that is, you know, wreck shop, uh, and, and then, you know, throw out four or five, six yard gains.
[370] And at some point, two of those are going to turn into 60 plus yard runs.
[371] Um, so like that, that to me right now on the surface is just the biggest piece of, of the chess game for me is how they deal with Saquon up front.
[372] And then whether the Eagles offensive line is going to be healthy enough, feeling, you know, good enough to kind of continue to create that havoc up there for Saquon.
[373] I think the entire game comes down to one thing and one thing only.
[374] The Kansas City Chiefs have lost one Super Bowl with this group.
[375] What happened in that ballgame?
[376] They got crushed on the edge.
[377] They could not protect and got eviscerated by the defensive front of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
[378] And the Eagles have that type of talent up front.
[379] Nolan Smith's really coming on.
[380] And they can make some turnovers off of that if they get that level of pressure.
[381] And I think, man, you got all of these guys are going to be fresh.
[382] So that's what, you know, we've got the injuries for the Eagles on the offensive line.
[383] We'll keep an eye on that.
[384] But from the pass rush standpoint, man, they're going to be fresh.
[385] I'm keeping an eye.
[386] I'm just keeping an eye on the, on the footing.
[387] What does the footing look like?
[388] Because that was a big issue in the first time when they met.
[389] Remember that nobody had their footing up front.
[390] The Eagles had those two fastballs coming off the edge with Hassan Redick.
[391] I remember who was on the other side.
[392] It went a bit sweaty.
[393] But they were slipping and sliding all over the place in that game.
[394] Was it Arizona, I want to say, where that Super Bowl was?
[395] Yeah, it was like three.
[396] Two years ago, right?
[397] Yeah, it wasn't that long ago.
[398] But this is going to be, I would imagine, very firm footing here on this track.
[399] Yeah, I mean, it's artificial.
[400] So you're good to go.
[401] Yeah, it's going to be a fast track.
[402] And so, you know, Joe Tooney sounds like still going to stay on the outside at tackle.
[403] I don't know how you could find a better combination.
[404] Yeah, you're not going to move him.
[405] Don't mess around with it, right?
[406] I mean, he's your best option at left tackle right now.
[407] maybe he is moving forward.
[408] He's like, that's the other thing that's kind of intriguing or, or do you go back to Sumatia and hoping he can figure it out?
[409] Based off what I saw this year, I'm not.
[410] Yeah.
[411] Yeah.
[412] But so, yeah, I think that's, that's the, that's the big key there.
[413] Can Tooney deal with the speed off the edge and then on the right side, can you hold up long enough?
[414] Can you get beat slow enough to let Patrick, you know, do what he does?
[415] Well, they're going to have to take away, do a better job of taking away the tight end.
[416] Last week, Zach Hertz went for a bazillion catches against them.
[417] And if there was a lot of them kind of uncontested working in the middle of the field, if they can't play like that against Kelsey, he'll have 20 catches.
[418] I mean, they've got to find a way to slow that down a little bit.
[419] But, man, it's a true line of scrimmage game.
[420] And you mentioned it, you know, can they block Chris Jones?
[421] That's on one side of it.
[422] And on the other side of it, Jalen Carter and all those edges they're going to throw at you.
[423] I do think that while Kansas City defense is outstanding, I still think if you add up – and this is not going to mean anything.
[424] If you're a Kansas City fan, don't take this the wrong way.
[425] But this is a more talented team roster in Philadelphia.
[426] But guess what?
[427] San Francisco was more talented than Kansas City was too.
[428] Philadelphia in the previous meeting was more talented than them.
[429] And then Kansas City still finds a way to win it.
[430] So, you know, I just think it's – It's phenomenal what they've been able to do.
[431] And in some ways, like I'm looking forward to most on the Kansas City side of things is I don't know what, you know, if Dan Casey, if they've gone back through all Dan Casey's tweets over the last like five years, what kind of weird plays Andy Reid's going to dust off to unleash here in the Super Bowl that nobody's seen or haven't seen in maybe 40, 50 years.
[432] Can't wait.
[433] Yo, it's going to be fantastic because there's going to be something, you know, of course.
[434] And then, you know, I think...
[435] How the Eagle or how the Chiefs operate, like, let's take the protection part of it out of there, but how they operate down the field, I think will be really intriguing as well.
[436] Like which, which receiver is it going to be?
[437] Is it going to, is it going to step up?
[438] You know, is it going to be DeAndre Hopkins?
[439] You know, is, is, are we going to find Juju Smith -Schuster at the sticks a bunch of times or in, how did the Eagles deal with Kelsey?
[440] Is it, you know, Reed Blankenship or, you know, Oren Burke stepping into a big role without N 'Kobe Dean?
[441] Um, like there's, there's a lot of combinations back there that I think will be kind of interesting to see how, um, how the Eagles try to play this thing.
[442] Yeah, no, it's, uh, you know, I also want to, from the personnel side of things, I mentioned the talent, the Kansas city chiefs have a top five roster and they have obviously hall of fame quarterback, hall of fame coach.
[443] So it's not like there's a huge, huge gap.
[444] I'd give a slight edge there to Philly, but Brett Veach, uh, high Roseman work with both of them.
[445] And, uh, you're not going to find better with how they've constructed these teams.
[446] These are excellent, excellent teams they've put together.
[447] So I'm looking forward to the game.
[448] We are doing the halftime thing together.
[449] Oh, you better believe it.
[450] I mean, tradition like unlike any other.
[451] Yeah.
[452] For those that don't know, hey, watch Kendrick Lamar.
[453] No. Why would you want to do that?
[454] 30 minutes.
[455] Yeah.
[456] Of you and me, baby.
[457] Yeah.
[458] Just like this, essentially.
[459] Except we're at about 24 minutes right now.
[460] We'll have about six more minutes to go once we get.
[461] Don't have expectations high.
[462] And by high, I mean expecting to see video highlights.
[463] Right.
[464] I don't know.
[465] You're not allowed to do that.
[466] we might reenact some, we might actually, we might actually demo some of the, some of the highlights for you guys.
[467] So that, so it'd be like, it's, I'm already thinking like, it would be like, okay, like the chapstick, this is Xavier worthy.
[468] Okay.
[469] And then this case is, is Cooper de Jean.
[470] So he, he got by him, he stacked him and then broke off on a corner.
[471] And then it was just a bucket throw, you know, it just dropped in the bucket beautifully.
[472] I mean, maybe, maybe it's the golf tee that kind of like goes as the ball and kind of one of those shaking football games, you know, like what was the tabletop thing?
[473] where they shake their way through.
[474] Yeah, one of those.
[475] We can do that.
[476] But anyways, I hope you'll join us on that.
[477] We'll have some more pods coming your way later this week.
[478] I think we'll be able to wrestle Bucky away from some Super Bowl live coverage to join.
[479] Well, there you have it.
[480] That was the winning combination presented by Reese's Chocolate Lava Big Cup, found wherever candy is sold.
[481] But I appreciate you guys hanging with us today.
[482] It's going to be a fascinating week.
