The Cincinnati Reds debacle this weekend brings into question how serious the front office and management are about trying to the win the NL Central this year. Some roster decisions for the Reds, like continuing to carry three catchers, not calling up Elly De La Cruz, and keeping a hurt TJ Friedl on the roster and not on the IL brings into question whether the Reds want to go for it. Graham Ashcraft struggled mightily, again, on Sunday and the Reds seem to have a problem on their hands. Also, Andrew Abbottt was called up and will make his major league debut on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
