[6] The bill now heads to the Republican -led House, which hopes.
[7] to pass it in the evening and will send it to the president's desk.
[8] This is the third continuing resolution that the divided Congress has passed since last September.
[9] A recent agreement between House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had brought some early hope of completing the process quickly and well before tomorrow's deadline.
[10] Federal investigators involved in a probe of January 6 asked banks to search and filter customer transactions that use terms like MAGA and Trump.
[11] The revelation comes from a little.
[12] letter from the House Judiciary Committee.
[13] They also found that investigators warned that purchases of religious texts could indicate extremism.
[14] The committee says they've received evidence suggesting banks highlighted transactions at retailers like Dick's sporting goods, Cabela's Bass Pro Shops, and several others.
[15] According to Chair Jim Jordan, the documents obtained by the committee show that the Treasury Department told financial institutions to look out for certain keywords and that they could result in a buyer being a person of interest.
[16] Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Iran early this morning and retaliation for Iran bombing Pakistan's Balochistan province on Tuesday, which killed two children.
[17] Daily Wire Senior Editor Cabot Phillips reports.

[19] According to preliminary information, several locations were hit, and at least seven civilians, including women and children, have been confirmed killed so far.

[22] As tensions in the region remain high, neighboring countries worry about the risk of a regional war.
[23] The Department of Justice has released a lengthy report on the 2022 mass shooting at Rob Elementary School in Uvaldi, Texas, detailing several missteps by law enforcement.
[24] Daily Wire reporter Amanda Presta Giacomo breaks down the findings.
[25] The report found that while the school was not prepared for such an incident, many of the responding officers also lacked specialized advanced training and preparation to handle such situations.
[26] The report also says that the school district relied a lot on locked door policies, which in this case contributed to the challenges in responding.
[27] As for misinformation, there are reports of the families who received incorrect information, suggesting their family members had survived when they had not.
[28] The report's most critical commentary was reserved for the first on -the -scene officers.
[29] The review team found that they retreated from the classroom and treated the gunman as a barricaded subject, not as an active shooter.
[30] In the report, the review team described this as the, quote, most significant failure.
[31] Kimberly Mato Rubio, who lost her daughter in the shooting, reacted to the report.
[32] saying it only makes clearer that the answers she most wants she may never receive.

[35] Those aren't answers I'll ever receive.

[38] Here's some of what was said.
[39] On July 27th, 2022, I received the worst news that a parent doesn't want to hear that my newly 20 -year -old daughter, Kayla Hamilton, was murdered in her own room and left on the floor like trash.
[40] The details we learned broke us.
[41] At the end of March of 2022, Kayla's murderer was apprehended by border patrol, crossing illegally into the U .S. at the southwest border in Rio Grande, City, Texas.

[46] I flew from Arizona to meet him and face him and ask him why.
[47] And he's not here today.
[48] I did not know that until after I landed yesterday.
[49] Today is my daughter's birthday.
[50] I would have much rather been home with my poor husband grieving her.
[51] I didn't need to be here today.
[52] So whatever he's doing, I hope it's more important than that.
