[6] Republican presidential candidates hit the campaign trail in New Hampshire one day after the Iowa caucus.

[8] As the final votes recounted, Donald Trump ended up winning 98 of Iowa's 99 counties and broke the all -important 50 % threshold.
[9] Florida Governor Ronda Santis outperformed recent polling but still came in a distance second.
[10] Pulling in 21 % of the vote, Monnicki Haley wound up in third with 19%.
[11] The night also saw two candidates drop out of the race, with Vivek Ramoswamy and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, calling it quits after fourth and fifth place finishes.
[12] The New Hampshire primary will take place next Tuesday.
[13] A day after his big Iowa caucus win, Trump is in a New York courtroom for the damages trial in his defamation case brought by E. Jean Carroll.
[14] It's believed this is the first time Trump and Carol have actually been in the same room in 25 years.
[15] The judge has already ruled that Trump is liable for defaming Carol.
[16] The purpose of this trial is to decide how much he has to pay in damages.
[17] The Department of Homeland Security has attempted to blame the state of Texas for prevention.
[18] preventing the rescue of three migrants who drowned while attempting to cross the Rio Grande, but the claim has since been refuted by the Justice Department.
[19] Over the weekend, a DHS spokesman claimed that Texas officials prevented Border Patrol from entering the Eagle Pass Park to respond to the incident.
[20] However, the administration's own Justice Department has now refuted the claim.
[21] The DOJ says that Border Patrol did not inform Texas officials of the drowning until over an hour after it already occurred.
[22] The allegation came just days after the Texas' night.

[24] The man charged with killing three sex workers in Gilgo Beach, New York, has been charged with a fourth murder.

[27] Police say her remains were discovered near Gilgo Beach.
[28] The man behind the earlier murders has been considered the prime suspect in the Brainerd.

[30] The defendant is charged with murder in the second degree, not murder in the first degree, because for murder in the first degree, you have to commit three murders within a 24 -month period, and the numbers just don't work out.
[31] This indictment marks a change in the investigation.
[32] The grand jury investigation of the so -called Gilgo Four is over.
[33] It has been concluded.
[34] He has already been charged in the deaths of Melissa Bartolomey, Megan Waterman, and Amber Lynn Costello, all of whom were.

[47] In her opinion for the Seventh Circuit, Judge Diane Wood in Chicago wrote that the high court's involvement seems inevitable.
[48] Then a week after his exit from the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick spoke with the Atlanta Falcons about their vacant head coach position.
[49] The Falcons announced last night that they had spoken to Belichick, who left New England after 24 seasons and six Super Bowl championships as head coach.
[50] The Falcons are seeking to fill the position after firing Arthur Smith.
[51] And three shows dominated the Emmy Awards on Monday night.
