[5] President Biden says he has made a decision on how to respond to a drone attack that killed three U .S. soldiers in northeast Jordan.
[6] When asked by reporters this morning, if he had made a decision on, the matter the president said.
[7] Daily Wire senior editor Cabot Phillips reports.
[8] The president's remarks come after he vowed to retaliate and, quote, hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner of our choosing for the deadly attack, which also injured more than 30 U .S. service members.
[9] Reporters also asked the president if he holds Iran responsible for that attack.
[10] I do hold them responsible in a sense that they're supplying the weapons to the people who didn't.
[11] These were the first U .S. deaths by Iranian -backed militant groups since the beginning of the Israel -Hamas war.
[12] The drone targeted barracks on the U .S. military installation in Jordan.
[13] According to NPR, a militant group called the Islamic resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the incident.
[14] They've also taken credit for separate drone attacks on bases in Syria and a naval facility in Israel.
[15] Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee took the next step today in impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
[16] vote, which was along party lines, charged Majorcas with refusing to uphold the law and breaching public trust.

[18] The actions and decisions of Secretary Mayorkas have left us with no other option than to proceed with articles of impeachment.
[19] To quote Madison once again, perhaps the greatest danger of abuse in the executive power lies in the improper continuance of bad men in office, end quote.
[20] We cannot allow this man to remain in office in longer.
[21] The action taken by the committee paves the way for a full House vote as early as next week.
[22] A potential new hostage deal between Israel and Hamas has reportedly been discussed by Israel's war cabinet but has not yet been voted on.

[24] The last ceasefire deal needed approval from the war cabinet, the security cabinet, and lastly the full government.
[25] As one Israeli official tells NBC, all future agreements are expected to go through the same process and that a vote hasn't occurred yet because Hamas may demand changes.
[26] Israeli officials said that any pause given in exchange for prisoners would only be temporary, while Hamas is demanding a permanent ceasefire.
[27] After reports of the framework of a deal being presented to Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he will not release thousands of terrorists nor take Israeli forces out of Gaza.
[28] A source familiar with the negotiations tells NBC that the proposal included the possibility of a 60 -day pause and hostilities and the release of civilian hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
[29] As the deal continues to be negotiated, this morning undercover Israeli forces in heavy disguise raided a West Bank hospital where they killed three militants.
[30] Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant group claimed the trio as members.
[31] The IDF says the men were using the hospital as a base to plan more terror attacks.
[32] The Justice Department is investigating Democratic Congresswoman Corey Bush over accusations that she misused, government money meant to pay for her security.
[33] A subpoena announcement related to the investigation was read on the House floor yesterday.
[34] The office of the sergeant -at -arms for the House of Representatives has been served with a grand jury subpoena for documents issued by the U .S. Department of Justice.
[35] According to Punch Bowl News and Ethics Watchdog, alleges Bush paid her once bodyguard and now husband, Courtney Merritt, from her campaign funds.
[36] It was recently revealed that Bush married Merits in a private ceremony in early 2023.
[37] Merritt was on Bush's campaign payroll the year before.
[38] A nonpartisan accountability group has asked the FEC to look into the matter.
[39] Former President Donald Trump remains on the ballot in Illinois after the state's election board ruled that the courts should have the final say.

[49] The election board's hearing officer, a retired Republican judge, claimed that the evidence against Trump is overwhelming, but left the ultimate decision to the courts.
[50] There's no doubt in my mind that he manipulated, instigated, needed, and abetted an insurrection of January 6th.
[51] However, having said that, is not my place to rule on that today.
[52] This comes just one week before the U .S. Supreme Court is set to begin hearing arguments on whether Trump's alleged involvement in January 6th should disqualify him from running for the Oval Office.
[53] The court has never ruled on a case about Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which was adopted to prevent former Confederates from returning to office after the Civil War.
[54] UPS is cutting 12 ,000 jobs from its workforce, which equates to about 2 .4 % of its over 500 ,000 -person workforce.
[55] The news comes after the shipping giants said it was seeking to make a $1 billion cost reduction, citing decreasing demands for service and higher labor union costs.
[56] A UPS spokesman confirmed that most of these reductions would come in the first half of this year.
