The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz XX
[0] You're listening to Draft King's Network.
[1] I mean, do you not get to pick your own song?
[2] Hell no. They're assholes, Jessica.
[3] They just want, they don't want, like, an actual entertainment.
[4] They just want to laugh at you.
[5] But do the NFL players get to pick their own song?
[6] They do.
[7] Okay.
[8] Yeah, well, I get the feeling that it varies from team to team, because sometimes one of the vets will tell the player, you've got to sing this song.
[9] Because I've seen it before on Hard Knocks, where they make the white guys, sing a song that he does not know as a very black song.
[10] So I would imagine it varies from team to team as it did for us.
[11] Again, I don't know how many teams make the video coordinator do it too.
[12] Like I felt like that was kind of horseshit.
[13] But I felt it was more because they were just trying to punish me for being loud.
[14] I saw the Panthers head coach because he's a rookie head coach had to do.
[15] They made him sing a song and he did a Bob Marley song.
[16] And it was just one of those things I'm kind of, I think it's Jump the Shark, this I'm going to start singing.
[17] and then the group's going to join in and all of a sudden we're having this kumbaya moment.
[18] It was just like it felt really forced with the coach doing it.
[19] If it's only if they were actually forced.
[20] I think it's cool when that tipping point of, hey, this guy sounds terrible, but he gets to that one point like Rome.
[21] A dunze.
[22] Yeah, that's it.
[23] Romo Dunezai.
[24] Where he got to the hook and everyone started singing it, even though he was terrible.
[25] He was not like singing it at the correct tempo.
[26] So I figured out.
[27] I enjoyed it.
[28] I figured out what that was, because when everyone sang with them, they sang at the same tempo.
[29] What it was, was they killed the original ambient audio of the music being played in the room, and someone in post tried to just play the song, and the person in post has no rhythm.
[30] They probably had to spend a lot of money for that, too.
[31] I was actually talking to Lehman used to work for NFL films, so whenever we watch, he loves watching any NFL films produced thing.
[32] We were talking about the Olympics footage, like you said.
[33] like showing Simone Biles' floor routine probably cost so much money and they're just like, yeah, we're making it happen.
[34] It would have been funny if they did like a cheap reenactment.
[35] Don't not mention that again, please.
[36] The, I just didn't understand why they would show it because at the end of the day, hard knocks, it's about the players, right?
[37] So for me, Jonathan Owens, watching Simone Biles, I'm wanting to see how he reacts.
[38] acted.
[39] We all saw Simone Biles.
[40] I didn't need to see her act again, right?
[41] I did think, I'm not going to lie, I did think it was cute when they, I guess he came back to Chicago before the beam and the floor routine in the individual events.
[42] So they filmed him watching it live and it was still dark out while he was watching because it started at like 5 a .m. Central time I think for the beam.
[43] And there was like they were filming her husband watching it on his couch and their little dog was like passed out next to him.
[44] I thought that was cute.
[45] They have a lot of dogs.
[46] Too many dogs.
[47] Way too many dogs.
[48] Way too many dogs.
[49] That's a lot of dogs.
[50] What's the line, guys?
[51] How many dogs am I allowed to have?
[52] One dog.
[53] Okay.
[54] There you go.
[55] What?
[56] Why?
[57] Man's best friend, not man's best friends.
[58] What do you do that?
[59] How do the dogs feel at that point?
[60] Like, wait a second.
[61] They're pack animals.
[62] They love having friends.
[63] The pack is us.
[64] No. The family.
[65] I mean, that is why Willow hump's me. That's not why.
[66] Nice.
[67] Horny.
[68] Transition.
[69] I want to send a special shout out to Dr. Scott T. Godberson.
[70] He's a chiropractor physician, chiropractic physician.
[71] I'm not sure where he's out of.
[72] Out of Niosho, Missouri.
[73] He sent the us, Dan, and Stu, and the shipping container.
[74] Such a lovely letter.
[75] Is it handwritten?
[76] Handwritten, bro.
[77] Saying thank you for every single thing that he was thanking Dan for, put it into words on paper, bro.
[78] Thank you so much for your kind words, bro.
[79] Salute.
[80] Is that a letterhead?
[81] Is there a highlight?
[82] Is there a highlight in their job?
[83] Juju like this part like thank you for your like okay that's great but like is there a part we're like whoa that really hit home and like this is very heartfelt it's some personal stuff in there so I'm just leave all that out of there but I'll just thank him for his his kind words and shout out to like seven or eight people that photoshop me as Rocky carrying a log which I still don't know why we were talking about that but we're all pretty good we're talking about someone having to train in the most barren of conditions to come back to their greatness because today we didn't have the live going and we didn't have the monitors going in here so we had to go take it back to the roots i received 10 photoshopps and it's only 1228 uh do you do the follow has it happened or not quite yet you know what i'm going to follow all 10 all 10 wow wow wow
