[2] With less than 24 hours to go until polls open across the country, real clear politics has updated its polling average to project that Republicans take back the Senate by a margin of 53 to 47, as well as gain a sizable lead in the House of Representatives.
[3] On Monday, new Twitter owner and the world's richest man, Elon Musk, encourage all independent -minded voters to cast their ballots for Republicans, saying, quote, shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties.
[4] This week, President Biden told a rallygoer in New York that he will not be supporting any new oil drilling.
[5] Raising concerns that his administration is committed to actively discouraging fossil fuel production.
[6] No more drilling.
[7] There is no more drilling.
[8] I haven't formed any new drilling.
[9] House Majority Whip, James Clyburn, doubled down this week on his claims that the U .S. could turn into Nazi Germany if Republicans take control of Congress.
[10] Okay.
[11] Are voters, though, out there listening to this message to infer from what you're saying that if they don't vote for Democrats in this election, that they are somehow supporting something akin to the rise of Hitler?
[12] No, if they don't vote against election deniers, if they don't vote against liars, people who are lying, No foot.
[13] Well, they're lying.
[14] We all know their line.
[15] Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas has reportedly decided against running for president in 2024, following months of speculation that the 45 -year -old was gearing up to pursue the nation's highest office.
[16] Multiple reports say Cotton only recently made the decision and that family played a role in his choice.
[17] Several neighborhoods near Brunswick, Georgia, were ordered to evacuate on Monday after multiple explosions at the Simrise chemical plant.
[18] It's unclear what sparked the explosions.
[19] So far, there have been no reported deaths.
[20] A rare November hurricane could batter Florida's east coast later this week.
[21] Subtropical storm Nicole is forecast to keep strengthening and is expected to escalate to a Category 1 hurricane Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
[22] The west side of the state is still recovering from Hurricane Ian.
[23] America's Election Day will include a blood moon and the last total lunar eclipse for three years.
[24] The eclipse will be visible from four continents, including North America, Asia, Australia, in parts of South America.
[25] A lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, earth, and moon align with the moon passing into Earth's shadow.
[26] When the moon is within Earth's shadow, it exhibits a reddish color, leading to the name Blood Moon.
[27] And finally, that Powerball jackpot that no one's won yet, it's now up to $1 .9 billion, a new record.
