[0] I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Editor -in -Chief John Bickley.

[1] It's Monday, December 4th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.

[2] The White House is warning Congress that the U .S. is running out of time to provide Ukraine with more support.

[3] Meanwhile, both congressional chambers can't agree on what should be included in the legislation.

[4] Daily Wire senior editor, Cabot Phillips, has more.

[5] In a letter to Congress, the White House wrote that if no congressional action is taken by the end of the year, then, quote, we will run out of resources to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from U .S. military stocks.

[6] Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young says not providing the funding leads to the risk of Russian victory and that the funding is key to avoiding a larger conflict in the region.

[7] This comes after months of the GOP -led House and Democrat held Senate, debating back and forth on what should be included in a national security funding package.

[8] Democrats insist the funding for both Israel and Ukraine be tied together.

[9] However, Republican leaders have insisted that Ukraine funding be coupled with robust border reforms.

[10] Over the weekend, House Speaker Mike Johnson said he believes Republicans have the votes to formally launch an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

[11] Johnson told Fox News that Republicans have a duty to do this.

[12] Meanwhile, the White House claimed that Johnson is throwing red meat to the rightmost sector of the GOP, claiming far -right members are pressuring the new speaker.

[13] Still, Johnson, who appeared alongside House GOP conference chair, Elise Stefanik, said the inquiry is not partisan.

[14] Here's Johnson on Fox.

[15] Now we're being stonewalled by the White House because they're preventing at least two to three DOJ witnesses from coming forward, a former White House counsel.

[16] The National Archives, the White House has withheld thousands of pages of evidence.

[17] So a formal impeachment inquiry vote on the floor will allow us to take it to the next necessary step.

[18] And I think it's something we have to do at this juncture.

[19] A former American diplomat was charged today with serving as a secret agent for Cuban intelligence services.

[20] A charge the DOJ says goes back decades.

[21] According to newly unsealed court papers, Manuel Rocha, has been participating in clandestine activity on behalf of Cuba.

[22] The charges allege he met with Cuban intelligence operatives and gave false information to the U .S. government over the span of two decades.

[23] American officials say this could provide a window into Cuba and its intelligence efforts.

[24] to sway government officials.

[25] Various industrial organizations across the U .S. have allegedly been breached by Iran -affiliated hackers due to their use of a specific device that's made in Israel.

[26] According to the multi -agency advisory, the sites that were hit use Vision Series programmable logic controllers made by Israel -based Unitronics and were also potentially vulnerable.

[27] Cyber security experts say they expected state -backed Iranian hackers and pro -Palestinian hacktivists to step up cyber.

[28] attacks on Israel and its allies in the aftermath of the October 7th attack.

[29] One site that was hacked was a water treatment facility in Alaquipa, Pennsylvania.

[30] Officials say the hack did not affect the quality of water at any time.

[31] It's mind -blowing.

[32] I would have never, in a million years, I would have never thought that we could be involved in that.

[33] North Dakota Governor Doug Bergam went down swinging this morning as he announced he's dropping out of the race for the White House.

[34] In a statement, Bergam bashed the debate rules that recently kept him off the debate stage.

[35] He said, quote, these arbitrary criteria ensure advantages for candidates from major media markets on the coasts versus America's heartland.

[36] Bergam also said this effort to nationalize the primary system is unhealthy for the future of the party.

[37] Members of the Supreme Court heard oral arguments today over whether or not the bankruptcy reorganization of opioid maker Purdue Pharma should stand.

[38] The reorganization includes a provision that protects the Sackler family from future legal action.

[39] Spotify is cutting 17 % of its global workforce and the company's third round of layoffs this year.

[40] The layoffs are part of an effort from the music streaming service to become more profitable.

[41] In a message to employees posted on the company's blog on Monday, CEO Daniel Eck said the jobs were being cut as part of a strategic reorientation.

[42] A spokesperson says that 17 % amounts to about 1 ,500 jobs.
