[1] It's Friday, October 6th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.

[2] Lawyers for former President Trump have filed a motion to delay his classified documents case until after the 2024 presidential election.

[3] As of right now, the case is scheduled for May of 2024.

[4] The lawyers have asked U .S. District Judge Eileen Cannon for the delay due to scheduling conflicts and because they need more time to obtain and review documents cited by by special counsel, Jack Smith.

[5] President Biden's two -year -old German Shepherd commander has been removed from the White House for repeatedly biting staff.

[7] The U .S. Secret Service confirmed this week that the dog has attacked agents 11 times, but the true number is higher when executive resident staff and other White House workers are counted.

[8] No exact number of attacks was given.

[9] Some of the instances have required victims to be hospitalized.

[10] The animal was reported, so vicious that staff at the White House warned the Bidens about legal liability for injuries.

[11] This is the second dog owned by the Bidens that has had to be removed from the property.

[12] The presidential campaign of Governor Ron DeSantis was endorsed by a group of 60 bipartisan law enforcement officials in Tampa on Thursday.

[13] The group of Democrats and Republicans touted the governor's strong law and order record in the state of Florida, including offering police officers a $5 ,000 signing bonus.

[19] And according to new polling, Disney's culture war battles appear to be taking a toll on the brand.

[20] Disney has failed to make any inroads with conservative Americans who turned on the entertainment industry giant over at Progressive Politics.

[21] That's according to results from a new Rasmussen Reports survey previewed exclusively by the Daily Wire.

[22] 62 % of Republicans have an unfavorable opinion of Disney, including 35 % who say they have a very unfavorable opinion.

[23] Just 32 % have a favorable view of the brand.

[24] Meanwhile, the perception of Disney has slipped for Democrats, with 61 % holding a favorable view and 29 % unfavorable.

[25] Data from the U .S. Department of Agriculture shows that for the first time ever, Americans will consume 100 pounds of chicken per person per year.

[26] Chicken prices have hit record highs as rising inflation has led consumers to turn away from more expensive protein options of beef and pork.

[27] At the same time, Tyson Foods and Pilgrim's Pride are cutting poultry production so they can maintain those high prices and improve their profit margins.

[28] She's being called The Tenant from Hell.

[29] A female Airbnb guest has been squatting rent -free in a Brentwood, California home for 540 days.

[30] She says she will leave if the homeowner pays her $100 ,000.

[31] Now the Daily Mail has revealed her identity.

[32] Elizabeth Hirshhorn is a 55 -year -old Harvard College graduate.

[33] According to the Daily Mail, Hirshhorn refused to vacate an Oakland, California home during COVID where she lived, again, rent -free, until July of 2021, when a court case between Hirshhorn and the landlord was settled.

[34] Daily Mail has also uncovered court documents showing American Express also sued Hirshhorn for $19 ,000 in unpaid credit.
