[12] With Election Day fast approaching, the stolen valor accusations against Harris' running mate, Tim Walls, continue to grow.
[13] Meanwhile, the Trump campaign says it was the victim of a foreign hacking operation.
[14] Here are the latest is Daily Wire Senior Editor Cabot Phillips, Hay Cabot.
[15] So another packed weekend on the campaign trail.
[16] Get us up to speed.
[17] Yeah, Donald Trump hitting the trail this weekend in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado, where he focused on his usual message of illegal immigration and crime, but then flipped the script a few times on Harris, accusing her of backing out of their debates.
[18] Remember, the VP had claimed Trump was afraid to debate her.
[19] Well, he's now agreed to all three proposed debates, but she has only committed to one on ABC September 10th.
[20] Here's how she responded when asked about the others.
[21] I've always been on record.
[22] I am looking forward to debating Donald Trump, and we have a date of September 10th.
[23] I hear he is finally committed to it.
[24] I'm looking for it.
[25] What about the other two?
[26] Let's make sure we get this photo, however, I'm looking right here.
[27] And it's worth noting Trump will also sit for a highly anticipated interview this evening with Elon Musk, who has endorsed him.
[28] That'll begin at 8 p .m. Eastern and Stream on X. Now, for their part, the Harris campaign held events in Arizona and Nevada over the weekend where the VP really leaned into two issues that have been major weak spots for Democrats, illegal immigration and the economy.
[29] Not only is Harris now routinely arguing that she is the candidate who will solve the border crisis, painting Trump as weak on border security.
[30] She's also honed in on inflation.
[31] Here's the VP speaking in Wisconsin.
[32] While our economy is doing well by many measures, prices for everyday things like groceries are still too high.
[33] And when I am president, it will be a day one priority to fight to bring down prices.
[34] Harris went on to blame high prices on, quote, big corporations and illegal price gouging.
[35] Now, Republicans say it's policies that she herself supported, which actually led to inflation in the first place.
[36] Their message is basically if you could really get it done, why have you not done it sooner?
[37] You are currently the vice president.
[38] But there are some signs that her message and the glowing media coverage that she's received may be working on voters.
[39] A surprising new poll from the Financial Times this weekend shows Harris ahead by one point on the question of which candidate voters trust more to handle the economy.
[40] Remember, that has been Donald Trump's largest polling strength throughout the last few years.
[41] This was actually the first time a major poll has had a Democrat ahead of Trump on that issue.
[42] We'll have to wait for more data to see if that is simply an outlier.
[43] Though it is worth noting, that same poll found that Trump held a much larger nine -point lead among voters on the question of which candidate would most improve their own financial situation.
[44] So some mixed signals there for sure.
[45] Yeah.
[46] Now, another major story that emerged this weekend was evidence that Trump's campaign was hacked and by Iran.
[47] What do we know there?
[48] Yeah, a wild story here.
[49] So on Saturday, political published a report saying that they had been receiving emails from an anonymous account containing private documents from within the Trump campaign.
[50] That included research dossiers on potential VP picks, including J .D. Vance, as well as sensitive internal communications between campaign officials.
[51] Hours after that report was published, the Trump campaign confirmed they had been hacked, blaming Iran, saying, quote, the Iranians know that President Trump will stop their reign of terror just like he did in his first four years in the White House.
[52] Any media or news outlet reprinting documents or internal communications are doing the bidding of America's enemies and doing exactly what they want.
[53] For their part, Microsoft did confirm the story, saying Iranian hackers had broken into the account of a high -ranking campaign official back in June.
[54] Now, Politico and other outlets who also received the hacked materials have yet to publish most of the contents, but there is a good chance they do eventually make their way online.
[55] line.
[56] So something to keep an eye on.
[57] Indeed.
[58] Now, before we go, President Biden was also in the news this weekend and made a head -turning admission.
[59] Tell us about that.
[60] Yeah, on Sunday, the president's first interview since dropping out of the race aired on CBS.
[61] According to Biden, he believed he could have beaten Donald Trump, but stepped aside after mounting pressure from within his own party.
[62] A number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was going to hurt them in the races.
[63] And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic.
[64] You'd be interviewing about why did Nancy Pelosi say, why did someone?
[65] And I thought it would be a real distraction.
[66] So, again, a fairly stunning admission there, the president of the United States, essentially admitting that he was forced out by leaders in his own party.
[67] A remarkable sequence of events to say the least.
[68] Yeah, Kappa, thanks for reporting.
[69] Anytime.

[77] Vice President Kamala Harris copied the Trump campaign over the weekend with a pledge to eliminate taxes on tips.
[78] Harris announced the proposal at a rally in Las Vegas two months after former President Trump promised the same reform at a rally in the same city.
[79] Here to discuss the dueling proposals as Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce.
[80] So, Tim, what can you tell us about Harris's announcement?
[81] She announced the pledge on Saturday during a rally at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
[82] Here's the moment.
[83] And it is my promise to everyone here when I am president, we will continue our fight for working families of America.
