[1] It's Monday, November 6th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.
[2] Former President Donald Trump took the stand today in a civil fraud trial in which he's accused of inflating his net worth and assets.
[3] Daily Wirett reporter Tim Pierce has more.
[4] Trump and Judge Arthur Engarron had several heated back and forths during which Engeron asked Trump to keep his answers concise and scolded the former commander -in -chief for making political speeches.
[5] During one instance, the judge threatened to remove Trump from the witness stand if he didn't stop making speeches.
[6] During another moment, Trump asked to read a document that he pulled from his suit pocket and entered into the record.
[7] After politely asking the judge if he could read it, Ingeron said no. Trump responded sarcastically, saying, shock.
[8] The document was a copy of the much -discussed disclaimer clause, which says that lenders are not obligated to take Trump's valuations of his properties for granted when setting loan terms.
[9] The court took a 15 -minute break, during which Trump was ordered no. not to talk about the case.
[10] He made a gesture that he was zipping his lips as he exited.
[11] Leaked images of what appear to be three pages of the Covenant School Shooter's writings were published today by podcaster Stephen Crowder.
[12] This comes after authorities have refused to release the so -called manifesto for some seven months.
[13] Daily Wire Senior Editor Cabot Phillips has more.
[14] Crowder published photographs of the three pages allegedly written by the 28 -year -old female shooter.
[15] In an entry marked February 3rd, the shooter said, quote, kill those kids and also referred to students at the school as, quote, crackers going to private fancy schools.
[16] Other entries expressed wishes to, quote, kill all your little crackers and describes the students as enjoying, quote, white privilege.
[17] Metro Nashville Police Department said in a statement that they are continuing their investigation into the dissemination of those three images and said, quote, the photographs are not MMPD crime scene images.
[18] The Israel Defense Forces struck Gaza with several airstrikes overnight into today.
[19] as the IDF is gearing up for a push into Gaza city.
[20] The Hamas -run health ministry in Gaza claims the death toll has surpassed 10 ,000 people, though Hamas has been known to inflate casualty numbers.
[21] So far around 1 ,400 Israelis have died, most of whom were killed in the Hamas attack on October 7th that sparked the war.
[22] The IDF says it struck 450 targets overnight and that ground troops took over a Hamas compound soon after.
[23] Here's what an IDF soldier told Daily Wire reporter, Cassie Dillon on the ground in Israel.
[24] We know that most of them are underground and inside the tunnel.
[25] Right now it's working.
[26] First of all, underground, we're digging and we're trying to find a tunnel and to block them.
[27] So they cannot move from the north to the south, so they cannot escape.
[28] And up of the ground, we're stopping the cars.
[29] We're asking the people that want to move from one side to another.
[30] We're trying to find what they have in the car, what they have in their bags.
[31] And if there are just innocent people, of course, we're letting them go.
[32] And if not, we're arresting them.
[33] U .S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin's diplomatic tour of the Middle East wrapped up today, but with little success.
[34] The secretary was hoping to get the Middle Eastern nations to agree on a strategy of how to best deal with the Ghazan civilians as the war between Israel and Hamas intensifies.
[35] Blinken's final stop was in the Turkish capital of Ankara, where he met with the country's foreign minister.
[36] This comes after a busy week for the secretary in which he traveled to.
[37] to Israel, Jordan, the Occupied West Bank, Cyprus, and Iraq.
[38] Countries are looking for us to do things, and we don't obviously agree on everything, but there are common views on some of the imperatives of the moment that we're working on together, and in other areas, we're making sure that we're communicating clearly and understanding where each other's coming from.
[39] Maine Senators Susan Collins and Angus King asked the U .S. Army Inspector General today to provide a full account regarding the reservist who shot and killed.
[40] 18 people in the city of Lewiston.
[41] The senators told Lieutenant General Donna W. Martin in a letter that it's important to find out what occurred at the federal level before the shooter shot up a bowling alley and bar.
[42] There are accounts from fellow soldiers expressing concern about the shooter's mental health before the October 25th shootings.
[43] According to law enforcement officials, one of these soldiers sent a text message saying, quote, I believe he's going to snap and do a mass shooting.
[44] Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is expected to endorse Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president at a rally in Des Moines this evening.
[45] According to a social media account associated with the DeSantis campaign, the popular two -term GOP governor of Iowa is set to join DeSantis at the rally as a special guest.
[46] Ban Tyson Foods is recalling tens of thousands of pounds of dinosaur -shaped fun nuggets after consumers complained about finding metal pieces in the breaded chicken.
[47] The USDA is urging consumers with nuggets in their freezers to throw them out or return them.
