[3] Okay, let's get started.
[4] Hi, Moetaz.
[5] Welcome to Conan O 'Brien needs a fan.
[6] Hi.
[7] My God, I'm super excited to be here.
[8] Hello, Moetaz.
[9] How are you?
[10] I'm doing great.
[11] And I understand that you are talking to us from...
[12] Where are you?
[13] You're in Egypt?
[14] Yes, Alexandria, Egypt.
[15] You're in Alexandria, Egypt.
[16] I've never been to Egypt.
[17] Yes.
[18] That's fantastic.
[19] Tell me a little bit about yourself.
[20] I'm 22 years old.
[21] I am an MIS student, like a data analysis student.
[22] Oh, data analysis.
[23] Okay.
[24] And that's it.
[25] I'm married, a bit young, but I am married already.
[26] Oh, you're married.
[27] Tell us a little bit about who you married.
[28] I met my wife playing Among Us, funnily enough.
[29] Wait, that's a video game among us, right?
[30] Yes, the video game.
[31] I've played that game.
[32] Yes.
[33] I played that game with my kids where you need to, someone is the traitor, is that right?
[34] Someone is the bad guy and you don't reveal who you are.
[35] And so you, that's how you met your wife.
[36] That's how I got married.
[37] This is 2022, how you meet your wife in 2022.
[38] Okay.
[39] This is a COVID marriage.
[40] So you were playing online.
[41] Yes.
[42] Is that right?
[43] Yes, we played online.
[44] We had this one round where it was only me, her, and one more person left.
[45] And I was an imposter.
[46] I was killing everyone.
[47] And this person caught me as I killed someone.
[48] And he thought it was her.
[49] And she was so adorable and, like, desperate to defend herself.
[50] But I was like, okay, I'm the imposter.
[51] I can't anymore.
[52] And from that point on.
[53] Oh, my God, wait a minute.
[54] So you gave up your chance to win the game because you were in love with this virtual person.
[55] Yes, I had a bigger plan in mind.
[56] From this point on, I was like, Wow.
[57] That is a really interesting.
[58] That's a very inspiring story.
[59] I mean, how did?
[60] Try that in real life where you go and kill people and then you suddenly are like, I'm not going to do it.
[61] Let's get married.
[62] Well, first of all, true story.
[63] My wife walked in on me as I was finished murdering three people.
[64] And she, and then I turned to her, and then I realized I loved her and dropped the knife and we went off and got married.
[65] Changed your ways.
[66] It changed my way.
[67] No, I continued to murder long after that.
[68] It's very profitable.
[69] I want to make sure I see your name Moitas, right?
[70] Moitas, yes.
[71] Close, or is that how I say it?
[72] Moitas.
[73] Moitas, there is a heart sound.
[74] Moitas.
[75] Yeah.
[76] I want to get it just right.
[77] I don't know.
[78] I am going to say it again.
[79] Make me say it correctly.
[80] It's your job.
[81] You have to make me say it.
[82] It's moatas.
[83] Muataz.
[84] Yes, exactly.
[85] Montas.
[86] Matt got the closest.
[87] Montas.
[88] Hey, nice job.
[89] Muatatat.
[90] Montas.
[91] Okay.
[92] I am Conan.
[93] No, you can't own name.
[94] Okay, I tried to make my name like Arthur Say and exotic and I failed.
[95] I apologize.
[96] So this is fascinating.
[97] You met your wife online playing the video game among us.
[98] Yes.
[99] So does she live in Alexandria as well?
[100] No, she is German.
[101] She is in Germany.
[102] So it's a bit.
[103] Have you met her in flesh?
[104] Yeah, we're married.
[105] Of course we didn't.
[106] Yeah.
[107] What is that?
[108] What do we think?
[109] I'm sorry.
[110] I'm thinking the same thing.
[111] I thought maybe you met her online and just both decided to be married.
[112] No, no. You've actually met her.
[113] I have a ring right there.
[114] Oh, anyone can buy a ring, dude.
[115] Yeah.
[116] I bought, I've had plenty of these.
[117] This doesn't prove a thing.
[118] I wore these when I was single because the ladies will like it.
[119] Have you met my wife?
[120] Neither of I. So you meet her online.
[121] She's from Germany.
[122] Did you then fly to Germany to go see her?
[123] She came over.
[124] I was still studying.
[125] So she had to come over.
[126] She's working.
[127] She came over in early 2021.
[128] We spent like a week or so together.
[129] And then she flew back.
[130] I finished my semester.
[131] And then she came back again for two weeks or so.
[132] We got married.
[133] She met my family.
[134] Oh my god This is a great story So you This is a real love that formed online playing this game Then she comes over to Alexandria And that's a lot of pressure Because you must be thinking I liked her online When we were playing among us But what if I don't like her When she's hanging out in Alexandria for a week But you hit it off right away Yes the first week As soon as I knew her I was like yes This is the woman I'm married For sure Oh, that makes me so happy.
[135] That makes me so happy.
[136] Does she live with you now in Alexandria?
[137] No, no. As soon as I finish my studying, I'm traveling to Germany as soon as I'm done with my studies.
[138] Okay, so she's in Germany and you're here.
[139] When are you going to be done with your studies?
[140] About mid -2020s, I think, like latest.
[141] Okay, good, good.
[142] I don't want to delay this, you know.
[143] It's important.
[144] It's important to be together.
[145] Yes.
[146] It's very important.
[147] I didn't mean to do that.
[148] What are you threatening?
[149] What did you do?
[150] It's important to be together.
[151] Yes, I took it as like a sexual thing.
[152] That was a sexual thing.
[153] I meant to be more like it's important to really make sure.
[154] Is that how you think it works?
[155] Well, I don't have a lot of experience.
[156] How do you think it works?
[157] I'm not sure.
[158] I'm not sure it works.
[159] These kids just arrived.
[160] Hey, so here's my question.
[161] What was your wedding like?
[162] I'm curious about your wedding.
[163] You meet playing this video game.
[164] I'm guessing she loves video games as much as you do.
[165] Yes, yes.
[166] Did your wedding have a video game theme to it?
[167] We had a very small wedding just because it was still a bit COVID.
[168] Like there was a bit of COVID restrictions.
[169] So we had a small wedding, just my family.
[170] We had a very, very small wedding.
[171] Normally in Egypt weddings are super big, like imagine five, six hundred people in one hole.
[172] Wow.
[173] Indoor fireworks, fire, like a circus.
[174] Wait a minute.
[175] Yes.
[176] Indoor fireworks.
[177] With 600 people?
[178] Yes, that's called the shooting.
[179] Yes.
[180] What are you talking about?
[181] And shootings, actually.
[182] We sometimes.
[183] Sometimes whatever you have to do to get a party going.
[184] So are you ever going to have a wedding like that or were you just, you were fine with the small way?
[185] No, I would never have a five, I don't know 500 people.
[186] I know five people.
[187] Well, guess what?
[188] Monta's, I know 500 people.
[189] Oh.
[190] I could get you.
[191] a giant wedding.
[192] You know, I know that you appreciated having a small COVID wedding, but what if I could give you a real wedding, like a massive wedding, a real Egyptian wedding the way only I know about.
[193] Yes, yes, I would love to love to see your version of Egyptian weddings.
[194] This is one area, I know you wouldn't expect it, but nobody throws an Egyptian wedding like Conan O 'Brien.
[195] Nobody.
[196] I'm sure.
[197] That's true.
[198] Yeah.
[199] Yeah.
[200] You look like you're crying.
[201] now.
[202] so, Moitaz, tell me a little bit about your wedding.
[203] So we had a small wedding, first of all, in a game called Terraria, which she dressed up.
[204] Wait a minute, back up.
[205] Your wedding was in a game?
[206] Yes, in Terraria.
[207] It's like eight bits farming.
[208] It's like Minecraft, but just two -dimensional.
[209] Wait a minute.
[210] You're saying that you met your wife playing a video game online and then you got married to her online I'm sure she exists are you sure she's real I am you went from a 3D game to a 2D game to get married yes well and this a call have a child it'll be through tic -tac -toe sorry I'm an idiot so wait a minute so you first got married but then you you did get together and have a real wedding because call me old fashion but I think getting married in a video game doesn't count.
[211] No. I think you can have that in old.
[212] Just keep that in your back pocket.
[213] Yeah, you just press X Escape.
[214] Control Alt 7, the wedding is completely annulled.
[215] And then you had a nice small wedding.
[216] Yes, we had a real wedding.
[217] A small wedding here in Alexandria, who is my family and everyone, and some friends.
[218] The five friends have.
[219] Have your families met each other?
[220] No, not yet.
[221] She met my family?
[222] they play different video games yes they play they speak of a different language that's a bigger barrier but yes they play different video games so so they yeah they they're they're not a barrier here because they're because they're German and they exclusively play donkey con yes yes we're an among us family we don't mix us yeah got it got it there's no yeah we have to keep this thing so wow I've never been to Egypt never been to Egypt in my life and I'm curious.
[223] If I came to Alexandria, what kind of things would we do together?
[224] Alexandria is more of a beach kind of city.
[225] Like, it's a very, very pretty city.
[226] It has a lot of beaches you would love to be, too, with a lot of sunblock.
[227] I'm going to take to break it to you, Moitaz, but look at me. Do I look like a beach guy to you?
[228] You would need a few layers of sunblock, but I can make it work.
[229] I would need several layers of sunblock.
[230] and several tents erected around me. Yes, a big tent over you.
[231] You'd have to help me with that.
[232] That sounds...
[233] So you're not...
[234] Would you like the idea of a big wedding?
[235] Would you like it if you had a giant wedding with hundreds and hundreds of people and indoor fireworks?
[236] The whole thing, would you like that?
[237] It would be very sad because it would be empty, just my family and five friends.
[238] No, it went.
[239] Trust me. I could figure this out.
[240] Why don't you trust me?
[241] If you would come over, I would love it.
[242] Yeah, if I would be empty.
[243] I came over, I could make this work.
[244] I could make it happen.
[245] I could make this a big wedding.
[246] For sure.
[247] If you would come over, I would love to have the biggest wedding ever.
[248] And you would be the...
[249] Okay.
[250] You will be the main event, even, not the wedding anymore.
[251] Well, I'm not sure that people in Alexandria are going to be that excited to see me. I don't know if I have a big fan base there, but we'll work on that.
[252] You can officiate it.
[253] Yes, please.
[254] Could I officiate it?
[255] Oh, didn't you officiate Sonas wedding?
[256] I did.
[257] No. Yeah.
[258] Oh, that's right.
[259] I didn't.
[260] I officiated my best friend's wedding.
[261] Yes, yes.
[262] I officiated your best friend's running.
[263] And I was present in the vital part of the christening of your two boys.
[264] He's my boy's godfather.
[265] I introduced them to their God.
[266] Oh, no, don't put it that way.
[267] Yeah, that's what happened.
[268] I'm a super big fan of you, by the way.
[269] I'm watching it since like 2015.
[270] I watched almost every interview you had with the Oxford meets, the Cambridge.
[271] Oh, my God.
[272] Harvard.
[273] I watched the Oxford.
[274] Those like those events that you go to where he talks to the students.
[275] You went deep.
[276] You went deep.
[277] No one watches that stuff.
[278] Yeah, you should watch the comedy sometime.
[279] I really love it when you visit universities and give serious talks.
[280] Who do you think this guy is?
[281] He thinks I'm economist John Maynard Keynes.
[282] This is really cool.
[283] You seem like a very nice person and I'm very happy for you that you and your wife have this new life together.
[284] You're going to live.
[285] We're in Germany you're going to live.
[286] And right not Germany.
[287] It's on the far west of Germany.
[288] And let me get, I know Cairo is the capital of Egypt and Alexandria is how close to Cairo?
[289] Like 200 kilometers away.
[290] Where Cairo is the capital for now.
[291] We're building a new capital actually.
[292] It's creatively.
[293] Yeah.
[294] I heard about this.
[295] We should just...
[296] Build a new capital?
[297] You know what?
[298] That would solve so many problems here in the U .S. If we...
[299] Everyone's so mad at Washington, D .C., let's just say it's in Nebraska and, you know, start fresh.
[300] Like the Mall of America is the new White House.
[301] Yeah.
[302] The Mall of America is the new White House.
[303] You know, what do you...
[304] So where is it going to be, the new one?
[305] It's in the desert.
[306] We're mainly building it because you had a problem with the Cairo infrastructure, like how the streets were designs.
[307] I studied.
[308] Yes, I know.
[309] No joke.
[310] In college, I took a course.
[311] While you are a deep fan.
[312] In college, I took a course on urban development and design, and I studied Cairo.
[313] Really?
[314] And I don't know why I took this course.
[315] It was second semester senior year.
[316] And I just was, oh, I'm going to take this course that I know nothing about.
[317] And I learned a lot about the various issues that they have in Cairo with street flow and things like that.
[318] I remembered.
[319] But no, I have no problem with Cairo.
[320] Yes, we knew that you were displeased with the traffic and so on, so we're building a whole new...
[321] The entire country knew that Conan O 'Brien had a problem with their infrastructure.
[322] What's his new capital going to be called?
[323] Yeah, what's it going to be called?
[324] It's very creatively named.
[325] It's called The New Administrative Capital.
[326] We're very proud of those.
[327] Hey, you know, I want to have my honeymoon at the new administrative capital.
[328] It's boring.
[329] Yeah, they got to come up with a better name.
[330] I'll come up with a better name.
[331] Yes, we're waiting for you to officiate the opening of this.
[332] Kona Patamia.
[333] Oh, God.
[334] What do you think?
[335] That sounds like a casserole or something.
[336] Kona Patamia.
[337] Yeah.
[338] Now gluten -free.
[339] I'm working on it.
[340] Moitaz, this is great.
[341] I'm very happy to meet you.
[342] I'm just going to guess that you're a tennis fan.
[343] Yes.
[344] I'm wondering why.
[345] I wonder why.
[346] yeah i don't do uh do you play tennis or did someone else hang that there and you're okay yes i do play tennis a lot i'm a big big tennis man and uh do you have roommates uh no no i live by myself okay that's good you know it's better to be alone i think you in the tennis racket yes and a lot this guy what what did i do it's better to be alone what do you mean it's better to be alone i'm just saying I told you when my wife met me I just murdered a couple of people No temptations that way You have a family What is your wife's name again Stephanie?

[350] The only person left in America is still doing this.
[351] Anybody?
[352] All the roofs have been raised.
[353] All right.
[354] Talk to you later, Moitaz.
