[15] The runoff election between incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock and GOP challenger Herschel Walker is expected to be a close contest.

[20] The California governor is accusing energy companies of price gouging, while industry representatives say market forces and government policies are to blame for high prices.
[21] South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has now permanently prohibited state workers' devices from using the TikTok app.
[22] FBI director Christopher Ray recently testified that the China -based social media platform could pose a national security threat.
[23] We do have national security concerns, at least from the FBI's end, about TikTok.
[24] They include the possibility that the Chinese government could use it to control data collection on millions of users or control the recommendation algorithm, which could be used for influence operations if they so chose.
[25] Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Sunday that he wants to keep the military's COVID -19 vaccine mandate in place to protect the health of the troops.
[26] This past week, more than 20 Republican governors sent a letter to President Biden asking that the administration remove the mandate, saying it has hurt the U .S. National Guard's ability to recruit troops.
[27] And Congress awarded congressional gold medals on Tuesday to law enforcement officers who were at the Capitol during the January 6th riot.
[28] President Biden has also stated that at least one medal will reside in the Smithsonian Museum so, quote, all visitors can understand what happened that day.
