[2] Democratic Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is reportedly under federal criminal investigation just a few years after standing trial on corruption charges related to a series of alleged bribes.
[3] The details of the new investigation are unclear, but sources say the case is broadly similar to the 2017 case, but involves a different group of.
[4] people.
[5] That's according to Axios.
[6] This week, a second major railroad union rejected the recent labor deal negotiated by the Biden administration, increasing the chances of a nationwide rail strike right before peak holiday season.
[7] The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, BRS, voted overwhelmingly to reject the labor deal and represents more than 6 ,000 railroad workers demanding more benefits and changes to their time -off policy.
[8] Texas Republican House representative, Myra Flores, The first Mexican -born female to serve in Congress has been denied membership to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
[9] In their statement, the caucus explained that the group is only for Democrats, and additionally, that Flores' values and viewpoints preclude her from participating.
[10] The world's richest man, Elon Musk, said on Thursday that he bought Twitter because he believes it's important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner without resorting to violence.
[11] He also said that traditional media has become too focused on catering to the extreme left wing and right wing, thus harming true dialogue.
[12] Facebook's parent company, Mehta, reported its second consecutive quarter of declining sales this week.
[13] The drop comes amid rising competition from Chinese -owned TikTok.
[14] Attorney Gloria Allred announced in a press conference this week that an anonymous woman claims that she had an affair with Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker in the late 80s and early 90s that he paid for her.
[15] to have an abortion.
[16] Senator Lindsey Graham pushed back on the claims, comparing it to the 2018 allegations against then Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

[19] A New York City bus was hijacked in Queens this morning.
[20] Police say a man wielding a pellet gun demanded the driver open the door before forcing the driver to drive.
[21] The driver opened the vehicle's back door so passengers could escape, then jumped out the window of the moving bus a short time later.
[22] The runaway bus then crashed into a utility pole.
[23] Police say the suspect has been taken into custody.
[24] Joe Kennedy, the Washington State High School football coach who lost his job in 2015 for praying on the field after games, will be reinstated by March 15, 2023.
[25] The news comes after Kennedy's Supreme Court victory in June that ruled 6 '3 that the coach was within his constitutional rights when he prayed at midfield after games.
[26] The coach had previously said the decision was a victory for all U .S. citizens and religious liberty.
