[2] New body cam footage from a Butler, Pennsylvania police officer was obtained by CNN.
[3] It shows that law enforcement officers identified Donald Trump's would -be assassin moments before he shot at the former president.
[4] Here's some of that dramatic footage.

[7] He's straight up.
[8] He's laying down.
[9] He's on the roof.
[10] Next building over.
[11] The officers were not able to stop the gunman before he shot at Trump, hitting him in the ear.
[12] Another troubling part of the video shows some officers saying they told the Secret Service to secure the roof of the building from where Matthew Crooks took his shots.
[13] I fucking told him they need to post the guys.
[14] The Secret Service.
[15] I told him that Tuesday.
[16] I thought you guys want to move.
[17] No, we're inside.
[18] American sprinter Noah Lyles managed to clinch a second medal despite testing positive for COVID -19.
[19] Lylez decided to compete in Paris Thursday night in the 200 -meter race, despite feeling what he described as really horrible since Tuesday.
[20] I woke up early about 5 a .m. on Tuesday morning, and I just was feeling really horrible.
[21] And I knew it was more than just being sore from the 100, you know.
[22] I woke up the doctors and we tested.
[23] and unfortunately it came up that I was positive for COVID.
[24] He ended up placing third for a bronze medal after winning the gold in the 100 -meter event earlier in the competition.
[25] The U .S. Olympic Committee supported his decision to race.
[26] Ukrainian troops continue to engage in a fierce battle with Russia in Russia's Kursk region.
[27] Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has more.
[28] This marks Ukraine's largest incursion into Russia since the invasion began in 2022, with troops occupying villages and parts of a town.
[29] Vladimir Putin confirmed the cross -border attack, which has reportedly surprised Moscow.
[30] Unlike previous incursions led by anti -Putin militias, this operation reportedly includes around 1 ,000 elite Ukrainian troops equipped with U .S. and German armored vehicles and tanks.
[31] A commercial passenger plane carrying at least 60 people crashed today into a densely populated residential area outside of Sao Palo, Brazil.
[32] Video shared on social media shows the plane tumbling from the sky and disappearing behind a tree line followed by an enormous plume of black smoke.
[33] Footage on the ground shows multiple homes were also destroyed.
[34] Emergency efforts are currently underway with the total death toll undetermined at this time.
[35] Samsung is recalling certain electric stoves due to fire hazards caused by accidental activation by pets.
[36] The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that about 1 .1 million units are affected, following multiple incidents, including a Colorado dog, igniting a fire by jumping on the stove.
[37] Samsung will offer free knob, locks, or covers for slide -in electric ranges sold between 2013 and 2024.
[38] In that time, over 300 reports of accidental knob activation have led to approximately 250 fires, resulting in extensive property damage, injury, and even pet fatalities.
[39] And Costco is cracking down on non -member shoppers.
[40] In the coming months, the retail giant will begin scanning membership cards upon entry, and if the member does not have a photo on file, they may need to present a photo ID.
[41] Non -members will still be able to enter the store with members.
